Willing leaves drop before me
as I curl forward to drink defeat
delicately these petals sway and heave
under drought blaze heat
insane and pathetic to lament
how soon Death. comes. stalks.
hesitates on my parched heart.
But then you breezed in.
i was held up in my prison of char
leech of darkness breathing up my arms
but you came into the picture
like the focal point of hope
as I see you in slow motion
ebb from your heavy cloud
you are a natural phenomenon
descending on your spontaneous path
with a reviving rush to meet my
crinkled cracked leaves
Backdrop of light purple sky
the whole thirsty earth arches up to greet you
dry and dusty we unanimously cry
yes. please. thank-you.
in one last tormenting moment, I call for you
to save my roots from dry death
this one last moment
as your fluid body is a fraction of an inch
away from meeting me
as we’re suppose to be
i take the moment to thank-you
O raindrop, do you not know why you fall?
do you do it in purpose to save my vegetation
do you do it in pleasure to be the hero
do I ask too much of you—
to save my sunstroked halfburned thoughts
is it too greedy to welcome Death
and shove it away once hope sprouts its cunning head
O raindrop, please be mine.
say you won’t fall on another
i worship you with the elegance of permanence
This one last moment
is smacked out of slow motion
this one hanging moment
resumes accelerating speed
finally, a witness to the touch of the molecules in your slippery soul
finally, with unbashful whole-heartedness, you splash full force upon my brittle skin
sliding, searching, you sink, you nuzzle
oh you.
for better, for stronger
forever with me now, I drink you
awakening to the power of your heaven

That's really pretty, thank you
