An old Maine reply to travelers asking for directions. Then they would go on and on about how to 'get there in the end'. Kinda like the old Dutch saying about 'cross the bridge, turn left, proceed a little, cross the bridge, turn right, cross the bridge, cross the bridge' so many bridges!
^_^

Yet today's scene prompts similar thoughts. Bridges to cross, waters to navigate. One thing remains clear to me is that volunteerism of some kind is important. In my younger days, i volunteered as a rural fireman and on the conservation commission, in my rural town. These were fairly bleak activities and difficult to evolve forward, so i quit both after many years.

Lately though, the new fire chief asked for more volunteering, at least as an ambulance driver. They apparently get a big insurance break with older drivers. Twenty year olds probably love to rev those wheels. I can get a little into performance driving, not much though.

My problem here is that i absolutely dislike general hospital protocols and general allopathic or drug-pusher medicine. Most ambulance calls are likely for heart attack victims who have no clue about diet or well being. Drivers never get a word in edgewise in these situations. I'm totally into health and not sickness-care protocols. I'm a disciplined, self educating student of 40+ years, of many healing arts and have even healed my own head-trauma, with a near death experience a couple of years ago. I recovered all my lost motor skills, etc, without 'officially sanctioned protocols' and very little cost, out of pocket, zero insurance, ever... Yet i am awake when most people sleep, so i might be able to help, except is it really help?

So i ask this evolver community, what do you think of such a dilemma? To help people reinforce their apparent errors and rigid mindsets?

My better skill sets have to do with structural construction projects. I do feel my website is a form of volunteerism-- Sharing my knowledge, skills, inventions, solutions to structural problems. So i figure i'm doing good already. harmoniouspalette.com/
