Singing into Being

As I begin to integrate the massive influx of information over the past few months, (much of it originating here from evolver), I find myself surfing the cymatics channels on YouTube.

Here are a couple of links to video series that stand out as extraordinary signposts in this library of babel.

The first is a film from Hans Jenny, a modern founder of the study of Cymatics:

"The more one studies these things, the more one realizes that sound is the creative principle. It must be regarded as primordial. No single phenomenal category can be claimed as the aboriginal principle. We cannot say, in the beginning was number, or in the beginning was symmetry, etc. These are categorical properties which are implicit in what brings forth and what is brought forth. By using them in description we approach the heart of the matter. They are not themselves the creative power. This power is inherent in tone, in sound." -Hans Jenny

There is the hunch that the spontaneous form-creating properties of sound must also be present throughout the entire spectrum of electromagnetic energy:

Which would correlate well with the music of the spheres:

Finally, A broadly connective interview with Ben Stewart about language origins and cymatics:

Very interesting stuff!

here we are inside the dance of our creation.

Thanks again Celeste

During a recent Photoshop lesson with my daughter, it led to a brand new iteration! A different preference for the maths of combining layers!
