Some have posted about evolver’s vision and even though HQ has given their response it is still unclear to me so this is my take...
I've met many people in my young 30 years of age (yeah whatever I’m still a cub) and some are connected to a number of awareness bands (let's call'em that for the sake of the argument) some are connected to a lot, some to little… you know… some are very environmentally aware but lack political and social awareness, others are scientifically aware but lack emotion intelligence or compassion, others are very spiritual and philosophical but can’t put a nail in the wall, see my point…
The challenge of evolver or any!!! Self-respected, efficient group is to bring all these different awareness, ways of thinking, abilities, etcetera., together!!! As in teamwork.
I'm beginning to question the ability to comment in each others posts; if I want to reach someone that posted something that "spoke" to me I can just private message him/her and stretch an idea, make it happen and if it works good and if it doesn't well it doesn't and back to the drawing board, because how else would I know if something works or doesn’t? But yet ideas are being criticized before they become a reality and please don’t give me that bullshit of the world of ideas is an alternative reality because if just by thinking I could make shit happen………………………………........................................................
So before you are about to comment on a post and put your personal perception up against someone else’s just stop and think what are you getting out of it, and my assumption is just the satisfaction of defying someone and possible winning an argument and demonstrating how intellectually superior you are from the rest or from the user who posted; thing that is pointless and a detriment to personal and community growth ., let others have their vision and if you can help them do so if not get out of the way, rather use all that energy in something more constructive like planting a garden, cleaning your neighborhood, learning a new skill, etc...
So here is my personal pledge: I will not comment on posts unless I have something of value to add or to help even if I feel an idea is not going work because if it’s not then it just won’t.

well, to go out on a limb here and challenge you
let me ask: what does it take to make a community this diverse function as a unit?
I know what it is, principally, and thats shamanism-spiritual subversion of the programme and
economics-economic subversion of the programme
I dont know about you'all but that's what I've been bitching about
in other words, if you got an axe to grind, grind it on a hypocrite or be one!
Now daniel is talking about shamanism but not teaching it, somebody ask him why already!?!???
We are not a unit, we are
We are not a unit, we are not the fucking military. We are a loose confederacy of individuals having the same peripheral notions about things we would like to see happen in our world. Why do you need Daniel Pinchbeck to tell you what to do? Do you not have your own insights to follow up on, maybe thats what you lack? you search through this page looking for something, but its all in your own mind its available for you to know and spread, its not for you to wonder why others arn't being your leader. Do it yourself, we are all our own leaders, we are all on the same starship, we decide where it goes collectively and over generations, but individuals forge and discover the keys the rest of us use. Turn the key and step through, other assorted cliched metaphors.
Mission Statements
Hi Sergio,
Thanks for your thoughts. A mission statement is a tricky thing to write. We are actually in the process of rewriting ours at the moment, which takes time. Below, you'll find language I've come up with specifically for the Sporeganizers. It's my thoughts and not necessarily all those on our core team here at what we playfully call "HQ". This one is focused more on the Spores, since this is who the language is directed to, but it might give some ideas of things we're working for.
Best,
Jonathan
The grand vision of the Evolver Social Movement is a bold and daring one: to create an international alternate social structure of evolvers who share their talents, resources, wisdom, and passions in building a better, more equitable world. We promote and support an emerging value system that is sustainable, full of meaning and founded on human connection. Our community appreciates the magical aspects of life and cultivates a visceral connection to the natural world. Where others may hear alarm bells (peak oil, 2012, global warming) we answer the call -- contributing to a new planetary culture based on ecological values, creative collaboration, and conscious evolution.
The Evolver Spores are at the center of this mission, providing a space for a diverse array of individuals, groups, and organizations to connect and collaborate in order to transform their local communities while synching up their energies and intentions with a larger movement that is learning, supporting, and growing together. These Evolver regionals create a unique hub that can bring together many different tribes -- from bicycle co-ops and yoga studios to permaculture gardens and urban homesteads to open source programmers and local currency groups. We believe the success of each Spore relies on getting many different local groups and scenes to come together to build a more rich and vibrant sense of community.
Evolver encourages local autonomy for events, activities, and projects while combining the resources and collective wisdom of an interconnected organic social structure spreading across the world. We are here to help each other “build the better world our hearts know is possible,” sharing the tools, wisdom, inspiration, and promotional engine of our growing network to create the change we want to see.
Hit and Miss
I have no problem with the concept of hit or miss ... to not share due only to the possibility of "reaction" may be just as judgmental as only wanting to share in the name of getting reaction.
In a newly emerging global world communication the expected clashes of growing pains .. well all it really takes is maturity to allow oneself the subjectivity of others to both acclaim and criticize whatever appears before them in relation to a given poster like myself.
Some may be so set in their ways that they just won't back down, while others trying to "newly" find their way feel they can't mature their own growth before the dominance of others.
There is wisdom in being rejected, just like their can be illusion to being aggrandized. ... To only fight ... to give up the fight ... to be nurtured .. to be rooted out.
The wild sprawling of a human conceptual Eco-system ... what can be done. Mass communication will never be an "answer" beyond the very power of suggestion.
Just like ideology itself will never be a panacea for more organic activity ... well ideas that have inherent viability will find a way to continue to grow even among such suggestive hindrance ... like a tree or creeper forced to grow around an obstacle, like a rock.
An observation into a Forrest will show many versions of such adaptable creativity. I personally have been posting on RS / Evolver for almost 3 years. I get very little response in general .. about as much much acknowledgement as critique .. cent-per-cent.
Just exercising the chance to comment in relation to others seems to be enough to support my own direct growth .. as I evolve through the commenting itself ... for better or worse.
What I get from others is their version of the same process. Communication itself being but the relativity between others of the revelation{s} within ones self.
I read all in relation to what I post, and try to post only in relation to what I read. Just like a tree gets all of it's nutrients for growth from it's immediate locale via it's root system, our own growth is really based mostly on our direct experiences.
The more we try to "evolve" out here in virtual space, well it becomes like the difference between a video game and a real; fist-fight. Ideas with all of their communicable purport can only guide indirectly via resonance, at best .. like other trees in the forest can learn through resonance with others outside of their actual nourishment through their root system.
One simply has to learn the difference. This comes with maturity. To get caught up in the growth process itself, the very thrill of being able to communicate globally in a virtual space, may actually come at a cost of the actual advancement of ones organic viability.
Just feed from the roots, and allow the more external play of resonance to have it's own more indirect forms of influence .. just never think that one can actually feed off them or hinder the abilities of others to self-feed through such indirect relativity.
We grow together regardless, one way on another.

challenging each other
I agree to some extent except that it can be useful to challenge what people write here not to win arguments but to spur further thought and evolve! the conversation. yes this is a double edged sword because challenge can feel oppressive to some and so care and awareness is essential. However, a healthy interplay of cooperation-competitive play is what evolution is all about, and from my perspective there are many topics posted on Evolver that are not well explained to me.
I often challenge them in some gentle or strong way in order to elicit better explanations. This is good for the exponent of the idea, to help them clarify what they are saying and spread the idea if it has utility, and it is good for me because they get more than one opportunity to influence me with the idea. This process is after all how dialogue works well (dia + logue).
E.g.: I saw a recent post about the discovery of a lost civilisation. I read it but was really none the wiser, so I made a little poke with 'how does this relate to It's Our world to Change?' in the hope of getting more explanation and enlightening me.
Hopefully I made this challenge appropriately and positively. Did I? Please challenge me in return!
i can be as negative as i
i can be as negative as i want about a subject without necessarily being in the wrong, its called criticism, and constructive or not, people have to take it, if i have something negative to say, i am just as free to say it as you are to say the statement that spurned it, and the world is open, and there are very few limited places and spaces where you can prohibit this, they are called censorship and lack of freedom, and btw if people are dissin on daniel, people should have thought about that before associating their website directly with an individual and his idealogies, change is the only constant and the tides pull as they will, people go from saints to martyrs in the blink of an eye, and sometimes they are both at the same time, he has the freedom to be who he wants, but he is just as unique as any of us and should not be defined, criticize all you want, it just allows for a diversity in perspective
oh, and btw, criticizing
oh, and btw, criticizing others for criticizing is the quickest way to get criticized, lol, duhr!
