Why Placebos Are Getting Stronger Than Drugs

HEISENBERG UNCERTAINTY PRINCIPLE
Not too long ago I learned from a notable academic article that placebos were not only getting more effective but that at the current rate they may surpass actual drugs in efficacy in the near future.
It occured to me that this may be explained by the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. In 1927, a German scientist named Werner Heisenberg proved that sub-atomic particles behave differently when observed. The process of observing appears to influence what is being observed.
What this means to you and me, is that as we focus on any area of our lives, the act of appreciation and measurement of your progress may very well be creating the very reality it is measuring. The more you focus, the more solid the reality you create. Physics thus explains theoretically what I have experienced directly for years.
Why not combine mental practice with the actual benefits of plant medicines (that may have some efficacy beyond placebo) and then combine that with proper diet and exercise in order to create the most powerful combination we know?
I suggest Excelerol

Thank You,
Thanks SC!
This is pretty important stuff, isn't it? Expensive R&D creates a drug (often with dangerous side effects, like the stuff you hear at the end of the commercials: dizziness, congestion, sore throat, numbing of extremities, bleeding from the ears, melancholy, incontinence – can we stop at incontinence?) The drug works 38% of the time, a placebo works 60% of the time. I suppose both are better than nothing, but one actually is "nothing!" Naturally, the drug companies would prefer we didn't know...
...and placebo saline injections work better than placebo sugar pills, I guess because they're more serious. Also, when people have health problems, their pets also develop the same problems! Kind of a "quantum mirroring."
It does appear that everything we look at, everything we are, is as a result of the energy with which we bring it into focus in our lives...so let's all focus on everything being made out of Love and light!
Cheers & Blessings
Intention
Quantum physics shows us that we are made out of energy and that the old Newtonian belief system that matter was already created, is out of date. Matter is in fact made out of energy which is formed by the observers intention. Everything we perceive is in constant creation. Intention is the main driving force and thus it is of importance for us human beings to become aware so we can heal the world of the egoistic forces which want to keep us in ignorance.
Let us become aware of our inner light and let us make the intention to become one with all creation.

Bluhahahahaha...
People'll believe anything. Why, they'd even believe a garden variety supplement 'd make 'em smart.
My entire life
I have been taking a 1 by 1 inch square piece of ricepaper for 49 years and it does wonders. It contains absolutely nothing except what my imagination places on the square. Asit melts on my tongue it can be anything I may need for that day. There are zero side effects and being that mum started this at birth I have been mindtrained to know that it works. I think I will take 3 on the morrow and trip off into a new land with no violence or ill will. I might have to take 7?
brain supplements
I would recommend
Bacopa Monnieri (notable for its uses in Ayurveda and positive rat and human studies related to intellectual capabilities)
and
Alpha GPC (an acetylcholine precursor ... involved with synaptic plasticity, specifically in learning and short-term memory)
and
Creatine for vegetarians / vegans

Re: placebo effect, I always thought it would be interesting as to whether the patient's a) knowledge of and b) belief in the efficacy of the placebo effect would affect the outcome.
My supposition is that belief in both a and b would substantially increase the ability of the placebo to "work"
I don't have evidence, but it would be an interesting study!
This is interesting. And
This is interesting. And this is the type of topic I love sharing with people. But at the same time. I find the law of god's debris applicable here. Which in my interpretation kind of points out how 'a shot in the dark' our scientific, philosophical etc can be. I would guess that if anything is behind this phenomena it could be an indication that maybe we have all we need to cure ourselves of diseases. Or perhaps an indication we don't know as much as we think we do about illnesses. Aka isrealites not drinking downstream from a dead Animal thinking that the water was bad because god said so. Compared to our understanding of microbes.
Oh and I agree with you
Oh and I agree with you about combining natural remedies and exercise et c. I'd rather not have sudden death or other serious side effects from an allergy medication or something rofl from some company who spends more $ on advertising then on actual research
Hey!
Hey! Where can I get some of that Placebos stuff. Does it come in an organic form? How's it sold, by weight, by the pill? Hmmmm maybe, I should consider going into the Placebos biz. :P
Ah, the hell with it! I'm going to start now to create a champagne for free legal medical placebo home usage. We've been hearing about Placebos for years the stuff must be great, they use it in all medical research. I'm going to whip some placebos up today in the kitchen sink. Can you keep a secret? Harbinger has a placebo lab. And no, I will not tell you my receipt, it's the best.
I hear it's better then soylent green
