Who is to say life has a purpose?

As far as I can tell life happens spontaneously, I don’t believe life has a purpose, I suggest it is more likely that human beings made that idea up, life may be purposeful and committed in its particular direction, in its particular art and style of creation, but in terms of having a purpose, at least in the ways we think of being purposeful, I think that is false.

In fact, I’d go further and suggest this whole idea of doing things with purpose from the limited sense masks the purposefulness inherent in life as it is.

After all, how can you compare the purpose of meeting this week’s arbitrary sales goals, a rather popular assumption in the minds of most people in business, ideals set out of a background of competition and fear, with say the perfection of timing and elegance of a single blossoming flower?

You can’t can you? If you’re honest there is no comparison in precision and perfection it cannot be faked or replicated, it can only be done, lived, allowed.

One approach is forced, rather contrived, at best arbitrary, and at worst actually harmful to our minds and our planet, it masks life, strips it bare in a disrespectful arrogance for questionable assets of value only to temporary ideas inside the human psyche…

And the other, well there is nothing much can be said of it, the flower is seeded, emerges, buds, unfolds, blossoms, and withers all in complete silence, with no rush, no struggle and no resistance, its momentum is life’s momentum.

Life’s momentum is endless giving and giving way, it does not stop at the form, it respects the silence and takes even the greatest as well as the tiniest creatures back and forth across that threshold, nothing in nature is held in or out of life too long, it is all in that sense perfect.

Who could say they planned such a thing?

I believe it is a great human arrogance to say we plan and create anything of particular value, in comparison to the simple flower, what is say the empire state building with all its toil, effort, and stress?

Magnificent in one sense, impressive for sure, but in terms of even one of nature’s simplest creations pale and rather lifeless, kind of meaningless in the end, devoid of life and intelligence, a mere metallic and concrete shell that gives little back, not really, it takes, it just takes MASSIVE sustaining, effort, and energy to keep such a thing going.

That is the whole thing with arrogance and ivory towers, you have to get people to believe the illusion to keep them in play, and that takes work, whereas a flower, all that requires is a seed, some soil, a bit of rain, and hey presto, the majority of the work is done, it is easy, and there is more teaching in that about true life than decades of “empire state building” mentality, research and study.

This is why sages are simple creatures, they may appear clever but they are the simplest creatures of all, cleverness is merely their protection and method in this world of fantasy and fanaticism, where the average person may point at a sage who blesses and respects the simple nature of flowers and call him fanciful and fanatical.

Such is the way human arrogance has developed, such is our tendency to buy into falsehood when nature provides us ONLY with truth all the way during our journey, regardless of what we do to or with her, she shows us only the utmost kindness and respect and never gives up on us, such is her way.

If life has any purpose it is to make sure we all make it, that we all have the breakthrough, if I can play some part in that then I feel I have lived part of natures ongoing promise and open invitation to each one of us.

First you have to figure out

First you have to figure out the real definition of life. Phase conjugation(fractal) creates life. Also we are here to stabilize and create gravity for the rest of the solar system. Human bliss is what actually creates gravity! The evidence is overwhelming: http://www.evolver.net/user/pod4/blog/dna_manifesto
We are far more important and powerful then anyone ever expected.

Money-a symbol for the efficient distribution of human energy.

Purpose

We are, as emerging awareness, creators of purpose. The dance between the randomness of it all and the wonderous order is the ultimate dance of awareness. One side informs the other... One side helps the other as they circle around. Form is Emptiness, Emptiness is Form. Like meeting the Buddha in the road... hum, kill him? Like answering if there is a god or not, either way something is lost. Like the blind monks crossing the bridge together.... We make our way... often without a clue. Thanks for this.

Hmm.. I think it's more of a "we all have our own answer" kind of thing. There isn't a life person, but there is a life purpose for you; which you get to choose.
