Simon Winchester is the author of the bestseller 'The professor and the Madman'. Also author of the books 'Atlantic: Great Sea Battles, Heroic Discoveries, Titanic Storms, and a Vast Ocean of a Million Stories' and 'A Crack in the Edge of the World'

Winchester is neither a sensation seeker nor a conspiracy theorist. From the interview mentioned in this blog he gives me the impression of an intelligent humble man.

Winchester warns California for a likely upcoming earth quake.
Winchester: "With massive earthquakes rocking many of the countries bordering the Pacific Ocean's "ring of fire," Simon Winchester, the author of "A Crack in the Edge of the World," warns that the Golden's State's San Andreas fault could rupture. "

I want to add something I consider very important it's from my personal viewpoint. This month the moon is the closest to the Earth in the last 19 years. The 19th of March the so called Lunar Perigee, or the point the Moon is the closest to the Earth, coincedices with the day of the full moon also on the 19th of March.
Scientists will agree to the fact that a lunar perigee will have as result that the high tides will be higher, the low tides lower. They will also agree that the full Moon does the same.
In other words there is more pulling and tearing at the waters... so in my perspective also more pulling on the Earth as a whole.. so also more pulling and tearing from the Moon on the Earths' crust.. The closer the object of pulling, the Moon is to the Earth the stronger it's force.

On 26 december 2004 when the devestating tsunami hit Asia this day was a week before the Lunar Perigee (moon closest to Earth) on 3 january 2005.
So there this year the full moon and the lunar perigee or super moon are both on the 19th of March.. Strong cosmic forces are at play!

Please Califonia be more than prepared!

Here is todays (03.14.2011) interview with Simon Winchester.

As Well

To add to your concerns about the Moon are the planets Jupiter and Saturn that are due as well to align on opposite sides of the Sun with the Earth and Moon between this alignment. It is expected all of these forces will have major affect on the tectonics of our relatively small planet. Compounding these affects is the increased solar flare and CMEs that are escalating at the Sun as it moves through its 24th cycle.

All in all a concern for all locations that reside on major fault lines. The New Madrid is of significant concern as there has been a dramatic increase in the number of quakes in past months and ground cracks have been occurring all the way up to Michigan which is at the extreme north end of this fault. Predictions of the New Madrid opening up and the Great Lakes draining into it flooding down to the Mississippi River have been many.

All one can do is wait to see and for those living in the affected locations to be prepared for the possible worse.

MOON VIBES!!!!
