IcerocketHey there fellow Evolvers. I have shut off the news here at home for a while now and I started reading a blog or two about different topics to all that live here and the many visitors. This has turned out to be a fantastic conversation generator. With a puff of smoke and a reading the room becomes quite animated at times and I found myself laughing quite loud because one of my friends is usually so quiet. She can always be found way off in the corner going through my many books & finding something to take home. Last night she stayed and we talked late into the night. Emerson said something about the news being the same thing, been done before, just the year has changed. It is quite depressing, who killed whom etc. To pick a blog, read it to the group, read the comments, and hear from the group is awesome. I will do this again next weekend. This is a nice place to be. THX, K.

I hope alot of people have involutarily experinced cessation of the diaster reporting coutesy of the gov't 's switch to digital broadcasting. the transmission range is so much smaller & the fringes of reception are like falling off a cliff. what the viewer experinces is unitelligable digital blackout , pixel blocking , loss of signal , frozen frames , et cetera. very annoying ! So maybe some are escaping this way !
Of course the majority (we're told ) are already paying for the privledge of being hardwired to this poison delivery service.
Kill your TV ! It's not just for dinner anymore ! Do it today !

Curious that remains un explored ! As the message of more digital mediums is THIS is more important than you, wherever you are or anyone that is there with you !

That's how it done right there. Stop being programmed and question the programming.
It's like when someone asks, "What's new?" and someone may reply, "Not much..." or "What's new in the world today?" -"Oh, same ol' same ol'." or
"How ya doin'?" -"Oh, I'm fine." ...even though that may not really be true. You never hear, "Hi, how are you today?" - "Oh, I'm miserable, thanks for asking!"
It's like the surface tension that allows certain bugs to walk on water. Our ores barely skimming the surface... Afraid to get our feet wet...

So, tonight should be exciting and different. I have invited friends both young and old, thinkers, talkers, artists & musicians, to gather and talk about a topic from Evolver. It's rainy and blustery outside and I can't think of a better night to gather friends and share. I am really excited. Everyone here is wonderful.
