When people let you down...

They don't mean it for a reason, you just didn't make it imperative enough, your reason for existence and a position of friendship in their life. Whether it be music, political views, whatever... Ultimately, we all serve ourselves. For every time you decide you can kick someone else; equally, you can kick yourself. Moments pass that through recollection one can decidedly tell he, well... fucked up... no way better to describe it. This life affords us the opportunity to "fuck up" from time to time, that's the beauty of it. We can observe our life as though it is a joke. Pretend all you want, no-one actually believes their life to be such. I've met many people in my life that are good at particular things; yet absent from the roll call intended for people experienced with life in general. You see in this culture we are able to exclude ourselves from the realities in which we would not care to observe; however, despite our objections, these realities do occur. A candle can only burn till it's bottom; after that, your house smells like whatever or you replace the candle. Truth is the same. Truth does not carry a sword... in hand waiting for it's next opportunity to relax it's opinion. Truth is there to swallow, it's up to the taker to decide if it's a truth worth swallowing. When people let you down, pick up the sword, wield it with the true honor of your spirit and do not let go until you've engaged your enemy in a battle you know you can win.
And keep a smile upon your face.
