On Monday, August 3, British consciousness theorist Anthony Peake addressed a crowd of some 300 metro New Yorkers in the famous historic Grand Ballroom of the Roosevelt Hotel on Madison Avenue.
Hosted by Gnosis Arts Multimedia and New York Philosophy, the event began in the terrace rooms of the conference mezzanine with premium open bar and buffet for public and press.
Peake lectured and fielded questions for more than 2 hours, addressing a range of issues about his eternal recurrence theory, and his proposal of a second self, hidden within each human consciousness. This self, which he calls the "Daemon", precedes and directs human consciousness, in life and at death. The event was attended by 143 members of John Broughton's New York Philosophy, and the Carl Jung & Transpersonal Group of Manhattan, as well as members of the press and public.
