July 22, 2009 - "Evolver"

Jammin’ on the Wolf was amazing!!!! There's nothing like being on the road with your band for a few days, camping, and tubing down a river. We used my Eden rig as the back line all weekend and everyone loved that deep thumpidy thump.

This week I'm doing the final rehearsals with Forty Piece Choir for the benefit show I wrote about last week. It's looking like the Double Door in Chicago is going to be packed! I really hope we can raise a hefty donation for the Guerra family. Check out the article in the SouthTown (PDF, 167K).

NAMM went smoothly and people where loving the new amps. I just signed a new artist, and his name is Justin Smith. He's a Nashville guy who plays in a band called Ocean Street, a southern rock pop outfit, and a jazz fusion group called the Nashville Potato Guns. Check him out, he just ordered a WTX500.

I've been spending a lot of time lately working with the Evolver network. This is a social network with the goal of helping the evolution of consciousness and developing an alternate society of Evolvers.

The grand vision of the Evolver network is a bold and daring one: to create an international alternate social structure of evolvers who share their talents, resources, wisdom, and passions in hopes of building a better world. The Evolver Regional's are a microcosm of the larger structure, providing a space for a diverse array of individuals, groups, and organizations to connect and collaborate in transforming their local communities. It's a unique hub that can bring many different tribes together under one umbrella -- from bicycle co-ops and yoga studios to neighborhood gardens and urban homesteads to open source programmers and local currency groups.

I am the Chicago regional coordinator and throw a meeting on the third Wed of the month called the Evolver Spore, at the Occult Bookstore in Chicago. The Evolver Chicago Spore is amazing, we gather the tribes on a monthly basis. During these meet ups we discuss the evolution of Consciousness, the shaping and building of an alternative society including but not limited to shamanism, evolution, green living, Gaian out looks, global economic networks, energy healing, prophecy and theories, and much more.

As you can imagine I meet loads of interesting folks from all walks of life.
