It’s been a great week. I spent the 4th of July weekend with my favorite people; my family. We BBQ’d all weekend and caught the fireworks over Fox Lake IL.

I spent Friday July 3rd (a day off, how nice) learning six cover tunes. Sound the Alarm (Thievery Corporation), Watermelon Man (Herbie Hancock), I Love it When You Call Me Big Poppa (Notorious Big), In the Raw (Whitfield Bros), Herb man (Olu Dara), and Nautilus (Bob James). It certainly feels good to be productive. The reason for learning all these tunes is that Fifth World will be doing a two night at the Jammin’ on the Wolf festival on July 17 and 18th in White Lake Wi. Check out the event page on Facebook

We needed to fill out our set lists so we don’t repeat any tunes. (2 hour sets each night) It was a lot of fun just listening to these tunes and falling into the groove. Half of the tunes I learned by ear and Watermelon man and Big Poppa I had tab for. It was great playing these tunes with the guys during Sunday rehearsal and yes every one did there home work. The tunes are coming together great.

I received an email this week from Phil Lesh’s tour manager regarding Jeremy Plog; Jackie Greene’s bassist. Jackie plays guitar in Phil and Friends. Apparently Jeremy was an Ampeg guy and his SVT blew up at the Rothbury Fest after Phil sat in with the band. Phil told him he needs to get an Eden. Well Walla Jeremy is our newest artist. He purchased an E300T and a D610XLT6. I expect him to be very happy while performing at the H.O.B. Cleveland tonight. Check the Jackie Green Band out at http://www.jackiegreene.com/.

The WTX1000N and WTB1000 are in and shipping, I sat down with these guys earlier this week, and WOW, everyone is going to be thrilled about them. Believe me they where worth the wait.

That’s it for this week

We will our reality.
