Last Friday I received a last minute call to open for Chris Berry and Panjea at the Kinetic Playground in Chicago. I was very excited as Panjea is an amazing group from Africa which often features Michael Kang from the String Cheese Incident.
The club promoter also asked if we could backline my Eden rig. Of course I agreed. Panjea’s bassists name is Patrice Blanchard. The band generally backlines their gear as they are traveling on plane. After setting up my WT1205 run mono bridge into a D210XST8 and a D212XLT8, I walked Patrice through the amp and helped him dial in an amazing tone. Patrice had asked if Eden made a class D digital amp and I told him about the WTX series. Before show time he mentioned he’s been looking into Mark Bass, I told him to let me know what he was thinking after he played through my Eden rig. The music went really well for both Fifth World and Panjea and the crowd had a festive time. After Panjea’s set, Patrice grabbed me and said he loved Eden and would love to get his own rig. We discussed the WTX500 and he was concerned 500w wouldn’t be enough for outdoor festival gigs. That’s when I introduced him to the WTX1000N. 1000W AND 11.3 LBS. Patrice is pumped and will be ordering one this week per our conversation yesterday. I’ll be hanging with Eden artists Matt Hayes from Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, and Mike Gordon from Phish this Saturday in Madison WI. JFJO is opening for Mike Gordon’s solo show this week. It should be an exciting bass filled weekend. On a personal note this Thursday is my five year wedding anniversary with my lovely wife Melissa. She makes me the luckiest man in the world!!!
Talk to you all next week,
We will our reality
