Rites of Passage for a Sporeganizer

It's the end of the final day before the Evolver Vancouver Spore happens tomorrow. Am I ready? It feels like a rite of passage in itself, like getting ready for birthing on some level. The topic being brought forward was a suggestion to the Evolver Spore network I made months ago. Sometime in the vicinity of hearing that I learned of the Burning Man theme being Rites of Passage as well. Does it make sense that this theme is happening in the advent of 2012? For me it does. 2011 is certainly showing a world ramping up globally for great change with recent events in Tunisia, Egypt and spreading like wildfire. This separation from status quo into a time of ordeal and possibility of a return to someplace renewed holds great promise right now.
The preparation for this Spore has been extremely informative for me. I've gone in search of many presenters , some of whom were able to join in somehow and others who couldn't but now I feel like I've found a global team who share this interest. I can only hope to continue learning from all these connections made who will be only able to share a brief taste of their gifts of knowledge and wisdom. In this world wisdom is one of the most precious commodities this world has to offer and thus I really feel I have found some valuable riches to share. On the flip side of this has been the shadow of fear and doubt when considering the ambitious scope of what I've planned and the financial outcome. In this society fear of losing money is for me deeply embedded but I really want to look at this differently and consider that some things are more valuable than money alone and worth doing no matter what. The more I think about rites of passage the more I feel its an essential piece of education that every human being needs to grasp for themselves and their relationships and community formations.
Thankful to the Evolver Network which gives me a reason to focus energies in this way. Thankful to the friends in my tribe who are assisting me with this effort and vision. I'll share my post-reflections afterwards.
