This short film is a beautiful and touching call out for conscientious collaborators in remodelling society--kind of a informal sequel to the recent 'Home' perhaps (please find that and watch, if you haven't!). Great launchpad for discussion and action, as is the stated mission of GOP (worth quoting in full):
The Global Oneness Project is exploring how the radically simple notion of interconnectedness can be lived in our increasingly complex world.
Since 2006, we've been traveling the globe gathering stories from creative and courageous people who base their lives and work on the understanding that we bear great responsibility for each other and our shared world.
Our living library of films is available for free from our website, through select broadcast outlets, and on DVD. Through events and educational materials we offer opportunities for people to deepen their experience with the different facets of oneness we are exploring.
We hope that by showing the diverse ways oneness is expressed—in the fields of sustainability, conflict resolution, spirituality, art, economics, indigenous culture, and social justice—others will be inspired to create solutions to personal and community challenges from their own lived understanding of oneness.
Lots of other nice shorts viewable online, and you can organize a local screening to which they will send out free (with the option of donating, to 'pay it forward') DVD compilations and supplementary materials. Such a get-together event is an awesome starting place for communitarian initiative, or just plain rich interpersonal exchange. Films like these (and many others) touch on lots of emotional hot-buttons that can aid us in 'evolving' through limitations, initiating powerful intentions, and bonding deeply with one another. I've been a part of several weekly/monthly film circles over the years that were quite powerful, especially with the addition of a focused council followup where everyone is encouraged to share authentic responses and insights (rather, perhaps, than debating a punitive/immitative reaction). Bob Banner on here (/user/hopedance) has had an amazing program going on the southern/central Cal coast for years through Hopedance.org, here's a catalog of reviews from their showings (nice set of titles to consider for any viewers):
