Howling for Allen Ginsberg & Dharma Lion (Stephan Ielpi & HEAL! video)

Hello Evolvers,

One of the bands I played guitar for was the NYC band HEAL! (H.umans E.ducated A.gainst L.ies) fronted by Stephan Ielpi, former frontman of the legendary NYC band "False Prophets". Allen Ginsberg used to jam with the Prophets at CBGB's and other NYC locations. For the 1st time on the internet I will share with each of you the music and video I put together for this special project.

"Howling for Allen" & "Dharma Lion" was a labor of love recorded shortly after the passing of American Beat Poet Allen Ginsberg, Stephan Ielpi penned the lyrics with the band HEAL! They were together for 2 and half years, released 2 cds of original material and a ltd. edition cd ep of the above titles.

HEAL! toured Eastern Europe during the summer of 98' to enthusiastic audiences and gigged steadily in the New York metro area. Presented here for the very 1st time is the complete "Dharma Lion" session with a video put together by Myztico, the guitarist for HEAL! To celebrate the memory of Ginsberg and to share with the world the music and poetry that resulted from this session, recorded & mixed over the course of a hot summer weekend in NYC on 14th. street.
