Avatar - The Real (Earth) Story

With a ll the recent talk and debates about Avatar, I found this video compelling.
I finally got out to see the movie last week, and spent most of the evening in tears, as I immediatley saw the parallels Cameron was making.
U.S. Oil and Mining corporations are currently involved in an unreported genocide and ecocide in Peru, and no one even knows or seems to care.

was born. The young world awakened, drew in its first
breath, and yawned for a thousand upon a thousand

leaned in close and whispered in the
incomprehensibly slow speech of the Cosmos. The

A Poem for lost love...not love that is lost, but love that is lost...

There are moments in time,
frozen forever by the question, "what if ?"
One step in either direction
changes life and the beginnings of lives
not yet lived...
We live in a world
full of wind-blown kisses
and dreams of fires that might have been.
When you see me in your next life,
remember me
and this.

Currently, one can view thousands of videos of teenagers and other mentally undeveloped people in the United States filming themselves while “tripping” on what they refer to as “Sally” or “Sally D”, promoting the irresponsible and disrespectful use of Salvia Divinorum. Hysterics have used these videos in a push to pass legislation against Salvia, and have succeeded.

About Me

Bio

I am a practicing witch and ordained minister, "self-described" Anarcho-Pagan, and I enjoy researching and using ethnobotanicals for healing and journeying. I am currently writing a sort of botanical cookbook, with information on the mystic uses of plants, which I post as blogs here and on my Myspace page, The Dreams of Plants.
I play in a band with my partner Francesca. We've finished our first full length CD together, and are looking forward to travelling about, playing music, and meeting lots of people.
