They think she is made of stone

they think she is made of stone.
when mountains fall
and worlds collide,
she is the one they turn to.
With sadness and grief,
they turn to her for light
She smiles, even through her own pain
and reaches out with open arms
to all who would have need.
They seek wisdom through her,
yet see her as stone.
"How could she be hurt, she is so strong"
"I'm sure her needs are met by another, someone 'better'"
To whom does she reach,
in her time of need?
Who understands the heart of the stone?
this statue, so stoic and so alone.
We must all understand,
for we all must be both.

-Sometimes the strongest person, is the most in need of a hug. Whoever in your life is 'the strong one' maybe you or someone you or anyone else turns to, remember, as strong and magickal, as 'untouchable' as they seem, they feel pain. Ask them how they are, sometimes the 'unfeeling stone' who everyone leans on and who doesn't ask for much, could actually use a rock to lean on themselves when offered. Don't be surprised or afraid if they cry. We can all be statue sometimes, and we can always 'give both ways'. Appreciate the statues/rocks in your life. They aren't always as strong as they seem. And even if they are, we could all use support. :)
