Evolution takes a GONZO revolution

An open letter to all media in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, USA

I was taught to believe that I was my own destiny in America. Now I know I was lied to for years. A nation of the people, by the people, for the people. Lie. It is all for the corporate buck.

The middle class lays silent whilst more plastics and consumerism is shoved down its throat and faked into believing that our very survival depends upon it. If I get something cheap I feel like I got away with something. What kind of lesson does that teach our children?

I guess it says you can trash a planet with media backing. Just shop and you will feel better about yourself as a person. We actually believe this is our god-given right as Americans?! I shop therefore I am. When the Twin Towers fell Bush told us to shop to feel better. Really? Meanwhile, Rush fuels the fire of ignorance drunk on his own power. Do people actually still follow this guy? He is a false prophet if I ever saw one.

To win you must surrender. Learn it. Live it. Know it.

That is my message for all of you here today who may read this post or pass it along or share it with other like-minded free-thinking INDIVIDUALS. I have a lot of free time lately to think this goofy crap up given I don’t seem to fit into the corporate America scheme any longer.

I lead by example and my leaders always told me to “tune in and drop out.”
So I did. And boy did I learn a lot in my spare time! To thrive you need to find the strength of your nature. And man, do humans sure have a way of messing this simple task up.

Society is a smoke and mirror show to make you feel miserable about yourself.
And when we can't heal a country that is supposed to be the Disneyland of this earth, it begs the question… "What's going on" here in health care?

It seems to me anyway that the Smiths don't want to upset the apple cart they are in by making a change. So… they do nothing until they die leaving the task to the next generation.

That‘s where forward thinking guys like me come in. I’m you’re Abbey Hoffman and Hunter S. Thompson rolled up in a neat little package. I thought the idea behind America was that we better ourselves. I feel all better. How are you doing? So can we now move forward as a people and stop talking about this imaginary recession already?

We have been brain washed over decades of television and advertisements telling us how inferior we are amongst each other. Hell, the cost of one freaking Super Bowl ad could probably feed a third world country. Oh sorry, I meant the "BIG GAME" I guess with enough money some people think they can own words now too?!

Not my words Corporate America. The buck stops right here.

Our culture is subscribed to a psychology of 12-step programs that teaches us to be powerless over things. Powerless? When the hell did that ever happen? Was the Mayflower powerless over its journey to Plymouth Rock? We just happened to show up here one day and trash the planet?

This is not the world I want to live in. This is not the world I want to raise my son in. So, I sit enlightened knowing I have all the answers to the meaning of life. Yet, I'm still surrounded by junk culture idiots and a health care community that practices voodoo as far as I am concerned.

FUN FACTS…
Did you know every 40 seconds somebody in this great country of ours commits suicide? I can't imagine why. Maybe they were wearing the wrong brand name item and felt like an outcast. Local news refuses to report on all those dead people less they be portrayed as heroes for killing themselves following the events of Columbine. I don’t know about you but I smell some stinkin’ thinking with that whole concept.

America is a country that has not come to grips with death and mortality yet. Spirituality seems a thing of the past -- before we had computers.

TALK RADIO IS THE OPIADE OF THE PEOPLE!

I believe the solution is simple. I say, feed it back to the media. Mimic them. Annoy them. Screw up a live feed. They are just there to take pictures of people dying after all. I doubt they will be offended by your intrusion into their screen play.

This is the basics of revolution as I was taught it just outside Boston. It didn’t take a degree to get me where I am today talking to you fellow humans. Who knows what they teach now inside their ivory towers? From what I gather people are still stuck on some evolution concept that is totally out dated at this point in human history.

Imagine spending a lifetime paying back college loans for the privilege of knowing you came from an ape? How rewarding is that? Darwin did not even follow through on his own theory. So why do our schools still teach such lies?

To make change you must infiltrate the system from within and my fellow Evolvers I am sitting on one hell of a circle-jerk media here in Tampa I once worked in. I believe it needs a lesson on how sensationalism creates nothing but a society of fear, hatred, and loathing.

I am suggesting today that perhaps they teach us something to improve our lives at 6 p.m. That is what news is supposed to do if you still be believe in Thoreau.

What am I thinking? Wal-Mart probably owns Walden Pond by now. Do what we do and not what we teach. That should be the motto of this land of the “free” and home of the brave.

I have a really simple idea... How about we all take a breath, get off those pesky cell phones that kill your concentration, and take a day off work to take spend with your kids? The best thing they need right now is you. So go home already. We live in a country that has afforded you such "rights"... though I question its freedom practices.

And as this song that keeps finding me says, "I can feel it coming in the air tonight... Oh, Lord….and I‘ve been waiting for this moment for all my life." Revolution is a state of mind. Where is your mind at? Take your country back while there is still time left!

Anyone with a ribbon and a cause can impede their will upon you. How insane is that? I need to feel sorry for a mother who's daughter was killed in a car crash and I guess the best way to grieve is to make a law so everybody else can be imposed upon and feel as miserable as they do? Is that healthy for a technologically advanced society such as ours?

DUI is the new prohibition. We just market it different today. It's a system that feeds cops and lawyers and media is not reporting on it even when their own GMs get caught in the trap. Why not? Explain the system to the people. How it really works against everyone. No guts no glory I guess.

Next media will be telling us that weed should be a controlled substance too along with everything else a girl may happen to be carrying on herself from her medicine cabinate -- outside its intended container.

I bet I can get out of jail faster with a wheelbarrow full of coke than I can with one oxycohntin tab in my purse. I wonder why that is? I have always had a problem with perceptions. Mine and the media when it came to drugs were often at odds.

Imagine if the government legalized something that could enhance our spiritual being? The world would probably implode. :)

I thought journalism was about getting truth out to the people. There is no truth in journalism any more when it comes to the ratings game.

I just represent what the whole moral majority is thinking to themselves but can’t find the testicular fortitude to stand up and say. Call me John the Revelator. I could care less what others think of me.

Want to get out of a DUI in Tampa, Florida, USA? Don't blow. Don’t ever blow for a cop. That means all you guys coming down to Panama City Beach to party, remember my simple words: NEVER BLOW A COP. You don't have to. You may forfeit your license for a year but that is better than succumbing to a cop's will on Spring Break I think.

And on that note, let me tell all you worried parents out there… that there is nothing a cop likes more than a drunk Ybor party girl in a short skirt in his cell at 3am in the morning. He can cuff and parade that princess around the station until he is sure his manhood still exists. I hope it is not one of MADD’s own daughter’s they catch next.

Need I remind the boys in blue that the C in Cop stands for Christian? Not Corruption or coursing people me into doing things that will find them guilty in a court of law.

The system is screwed. And the cop with the most DUIs gets a free cruise from those annoying do-gooders at MADD. I'm MADD you are infringing on my freedoms just because you have a chip on your shoulder.

Imagine if we all did that? Why, this nation would be a giant tapestry of nothing but colored ribbons. How gaudy!

The game board has shifted folks. Mass media does not lead, it follows. It follows every trend and whim in the hopes that something will stick as a brand and the sales team will get a spot during local air time thus feeding the tribe whose raises depend upon their personality. I don’t know how they live with themselves. Then again, some don’t.

And I guess censorship does still exist given that when I called the media out last week when they decided some ex-reporter’s wife needed hits on her Web site to promote her hatred of men (just what we need). My comments amazingly disappeared from the station’s facebook page. Huh? So much for my breaking news.

Where did America go? Oh, right, overseas.
