Mechanics.

It's that branch of physics that deals with an action upon a physical body. It happens all the time and it is just not machines.

Have you ever thought about how much you are on auto-pilot? How you react to something, answer something. No thought - just a re-action. How mechanical you have become. And what about when you are presented with a new situation? Most of us reach back into our experiences to figure out what to say or do. Why is that? We could easily be attentive to it and respond to it from the present.

We have become a culture of desire. A culture of wanting. We have become conditioned to reacting, being and how we think about the future. Virtue isn't especially important. How many virtuous people can you name?

We are a culture of self-importance. To that end, we are also a culture seeking self-improvement. Self-improvement. Why all of a sudden do we need to improve ourselves? Every where we turn the media reminds us we aren't good enough. I heavily dispute that! We are good enough and do not need improvement.

Can you name one culture that teaches you how to find and live truth? What we are told is to follow the prevailing order - the status quo. We do need to find truth. I did that, went to such and such a college and received this award. I am important. Few of us really know ourselves.

Our culture reinforces knowledge, but only the knowledge the culture deems important. Few encourage taking the road less traveled. Who are you? Without the symbols, culture-laden materiale. Who are you?

We also do not need to dominate. Everyone wants to be in charge. In the animal kingdom, dominance is recognized immediately. It is the one with the talent, not the good looks, although that may be important, often the strength and the direction. So the deal here is to free oneself of the societal trappings in order to know oneself.

May I suggest you try an experiment? The next time you are confronted with a decision or a situation...pause. Be attentive. Come from a place of love...not fear. Look at it on its face value. Look at it without a history of a similar event. How do you want to respond?

You will be amazed at how you have been programmed. You will also be amazed how you can start discovering who you truly are. And that is one beautiful human being!

Shall we begin?
