Each substance has its own "flavor" if you will. A sort of signature feel. What I call "Qualia"...

Overall there may be many similarities, for example, between the Psilocybin trip and the LSD-25 trip. The common motifs of "breathing walls" being the easiest example.

But beyond these superficialities lie the feeling of the drug itself.

I have tried the following substances and will attempt to give my own account/description of the qualia of these chemicals.

1)"Magic Mushrooms"/Psilocybin
2) LSD
3) AMT
4) MDMA
5) Hawaiian Baby Woodrose/LSA

----

1) Is an "earthy" downward feel. It is dark, and very organic. It has a strong body feel such that one is drawn towards the earth, and in the higher dosages can alter perception of spacetime to a very astonishing degree (i.e. the feeling that one has entered an Escherian world, where up leads down, and you might somehow be on a mobius strip where left is right). Colors on this are very low key. Dark purples, Reds, Browns... There is a strong serpentine feel. Tunnels and grids seem to form quite well here, as well as spiraling patterns draping contours of form.

2) If shrooms are earth, LSD is laser light. It is a sparkling, high energy, high tension buzz. The body may tense up. There is a strange internal space thing happening. Like, perhaps, lasers and disco balls. Things are shiny. Colors are less dark/earthy and more primary. This is still quite a PHYSICAL substance. The body is definitely felt, sometimes to an uncomfortable extent. There is a metallic presence (though this may come from the taste of sugar cubes -- but I swear I've noticed it on blotter as well).

3) I've only consumed AMT a few times. It has an erotic creative component. Similar to MDMA. It enhances light strongly. I felt most comfortable with the lights very dim, and some other psychedelics I prefer at least some light. But AMT makes a very comfortable dimness. It's relaxing and energetic all at once. It has that mild electric feel of LSD. But not as intense.

4) MDMA -- Not a tryptamine, nor technically a psychedelic, but certainly has overtones of such. One does not hallucinate. One simply feels. Of course, what can be said, except overwhelming pleasure and joy... well... Ecstasy. And also -- the melting of fears. The body buzz can be intense (people grind their teeth on this stuff). But yet, it's not terribly noticed. Because you feel so good. This is a truly therapeutic substance, enhancing not only tactility, and erasing ego, but enhancing lucid communication. One not only wants to talk, but one is capable of talking. But not just that... Listening is enhanced. A person can be more patient and open...

6) LSA -- This, I will say, is what I've described as "beatific" though perhaps that's a bit extreme. But the words "dreamlike" certainly do well. There is a floaty sort of haze. One's self is definitely there, but things disperse in a sense. It is very similar to LSD in it's light visuals. But it's definitely more... It's not so much visuals as glow. Things glow and radiate a soft energy. Imagine taking a harsh light bulb and putting in one of those soft-white bulbs. Add some color, and a nice floating feeling, and there's your Hawaiian
Baby Woodrose.

That's the best I can do in 20 minutes. If anyone else has experiences or you know "Heard about it from someone else ;)" and wants to share how they feel some things are, if you have a different feel for things, I'd love to hear. :D Even if you don't want to reply to this, feel free to mail me at gmail (symbioid@gmail.com) and share.
