The Triune Brain and Alien Archetypes

A few years ago I'd pondered the sort of archetypes of aliens that we commonly see presented in culture. I'd also come across the theory of the Triune Brain.

First: The triune brain is an idea that essentially states that there's 3 "layers" to the brain. Each of these layers represent different stages of our evolution.

The most inner layer, referred to as the "R-Complex" is the core of survival and existence on a purely individual/animal level. The "R" in said complex stands for Reptilian. It does not seek anything other than survival of the individual entity, and in the here and now.

The secondary layer is the Limbic system. It wraps up the reptilian core in a cozy little blanket of fluffy warm love... It is the "mammalian layer"... This is the layer that provides social aspects of our lives. Reptiles just lay their eggs and abandon their children, but mammals spend time to raise their offspring. Such emotional bonding provides for a stronger social element.

The third layer is the Neocortex. This is the logical, linguistic mind. It is the outermost layer of the brain. It is more prominent in the higher order animals (primates, for example -- especially humans).

When one looks at the basic archetypes of aliens, you see a common theme.

There are the Reptilians -- Aggressive, dominator types. This, obviously, is a reflection of the R-Complex. They don't seem too intent on anything but the base drives. These could be said to correlate to Freudian Id.

The next archetype is the mammalian, almost angelic humanoids like what people consider "Pleiadeans" These are nordic looking creatures who supposedly bring light and love to mankind. These, being mammalian, and focusing on emotion correlate to the Limbic system.

The final, and of course, most popular stereotype is that of the Grey. Obviously, these are the types of aliens that correlate to the remaining layer: the neocortex. It is alien, because it is the cold calculating logic. The gaze of the alien who does not relate, but merely sees you as a subject. The purely logical entity, who endeavours to understand through methodologies that seem cruel and terrifying. Highly intelligent and calculating, just like the neocortex.

There might be plenty more to delve into here. Seeing as these are evolutionary tropes, one could, for example, see these divisions as the Past/Present and Future of our evolution. It's but one potential mapping to certain archetypes of the modern mind...

It may or may not come in handy to others, so I figured I should provide it as a model and if someone gets some use out of it, great :) If anyone reads this and has some other concepts relating to this, expanding on it, etc... I would love to hear your own thoughts on the matter in comments.

Spiritual evolution

Yeah expounding on your theory of the past/present and future of our evolution, in quantum theory where there could be multiple parallel universes going on all at the same time. depending on where a certain entity (person, individual) is in their own personal spiritual evolution, these other entities could be meta-physical projections of their own super mind in a way, 'warning' them of what their past, present and future is, could be, if they continue on that path.

It is all so connected, it's amazing..

So much to delve into here..

UFO'S - an extension of our selves?

I once read a book in high school that I found in the school library of all things! About UFO's and aliens and time travel and all that. I wish i could remember the name.. I might have it written down somewhere, but would have to search forever for it, maybe one day I'll find it. But this was an interesting book because it didn't talk about UFO's in, 'Oh look what showed up over the skies today!' but more in a metaphysical sense, as if ufo's were us in parallel universes coming from alternate time periods to communicate with ourselves in some way.. I thought that was quite interesting.. and your post and my comment reminded me of that.. and eventually that topic could spark a discussion all its own. But the matrix of the collective human mind/consciousness is so vast and complex, it could keep us searching forever! And probably will..

The Truth..

It's the same wherever, whatever philosophy you go to, there are certain immutable Universal laws, the Truth is the truth no matter where you go in the Universe or what.. there are certain laws of the Universe and I think certain entities just like in our human world, have learned how to bend the laws in such a way that they won't be taken into account for it. only in the end, they will, but perhaps it will take us humans and other entities on the other realms, ie. the Pleiadians, or whatever they represent, to open up the spiritual neural pathways to Ascension.. and Truth.. then all these 'entities' will just disappear! Like they never existed, or they will be absorbed into the greater Consciousness. I think maybe they are there until we reach such a level of vibration or Ascension, that we will not need them anymore. That is why I think that it is said that even God has allowed certain 'fallen angels; to exist in the Universe, to serve a certain purpose.

I know now it sounds as if I am babbling, but the truth often comes out in that. There is just so much possibility here for thinking!
