Note from Bethany, the owner of the Waterfall House:

The Waterfall House is a very special place and a unique environment in which to work .. It is not a "normal" living situation. It is kind of like a commune, but it's not. (because I don't like communes and what they have come to signify). It is kind of like an intentional community... except that it is totally unintentional and has just come about by necessity. I guess it is most like an extended family all living in my home... except it's really not just my home anymore because it's now also full time retreat center, but it's not really a retreat center -- it's a place that is so overwhelmingly beautiful that it actually reminds people what it is like to just be a human being -- and that they don't have to go far to walk in the river and sing in the forest and listen to the sound of their prayer, which is all around them, just waiting to be remembered. But there is also the very practical, real, and consuming task of running a 150 year old house and keeping it all afloat... So I am really looking for a balance of great people who feel like extended family but who are also awesome managers with creative vision...
love and waterfalls always,
Bethany
(and yes, that's me in the waterfall photo)
