I am the World; I am two-thirds water.

Writing has always been difficult for me. I think it has to do with the chemistry of my brain. I've always had the tendency to reverse the meaning of words and numbers in a sequence. My parents saw it as a problem and had me tested for dislexia when I was around 5 years old. Somehow I fooled their test and proceeded with the rest of my education thinking I was quite normal.

About Me

Bio

My middle name, Ross, comes from my mom's name Roslyn and she is the reason I am an art major. My last name, Harris, comes from my grandfather and he is the reason I went to Virginia Tech. My grandfather's work ethic is the reason my uncle founded his own advertising agency in 1994, called work labs. I've been interning there for the past 4 years whenever I haven't been at school.

Working in a real advertising agency run by my uncle has taught me almost everything I know. The rest comes from school and after 4 years at Virginia Tech and Work Labs, I have surely learned that time is money and attitude is everything. At work I am not defined by a job description. I am defined by the amount of effort and pride I put into my work. A job is why the floor gets scrubbed. Work is why it is clean enough to eat off of.

Half way through college I had the opportunity to become a founding father of a fraternity. Noticing the potential of the organization I knew I couldn't pass it up. After becoming official I created my own position, called Creative Director, to develop a brand the people will recognize and relate to. Since then I have been involved in all areas of the fraternity and voted brother of the year of 2008.

My first name comes from my mom's mom, Christine. Her close friends call her Chris just like mine, but we still refer to each other by our full name. I never had the opportunity to meet her husband, my other grandfather, but growing up without him made me admire her strength as an individual. She has lived by herself ever since his death and I have never heard her complain once since I was born.
