I was flipping through my Tarot deck, as we made our way back to Union Square from our very first Evolver summit, when someone asked if we'd done a draw for Evolver in general...the big picture.

I had been using them personally, and they were an interesting guide through the weekend, so I obliged. While others dozed, sporganizers from Atlanta, Long Beach, and Los Angeles decided what we wanted the cards to represent, as I made the initial shuffle. We decided that these questions would give a full perspective:

1) What are we now?
2) What is the future like for us?
3) What should we watch out for?
4) What should be bring in?
5) What is inevitable?

There were six people awake, so we divvied up the draw and each person spent some time with the deck and drew their card.

For the first card, what we are now, we drew "The Magician."

Certainly, one of the clearest revelations to us this past weekend was how magical our journey with Evolver has been, things coming together in almost impossibly synchronistic ways. Plus, we make do with what we have in our environment--we're makeshift, but are also coming into an understanding of our inherent power to create.

Second, for an expression of the future, we drew the Six of Wands

This card represents victory, triumph, carrying the banner. We are bound to see great public acclaim gained through hard work and effort in the future.

So, what do we need to watch out for? The third card we drew was the 7 of Swords: "The Lord of Unstable Effort," who may take on too much--thus the seven swords tucked into his cloak in the Robin Wood deck. In this deck, he also looks like quite a shady character, while in others he looks aloof. In any case, he can also have a reluctance to follow through.

For "what we should bring in," we drew the King of Cups.
Another site, Tarot Teachings, gives a list of attributes that could fit an outside helper bringing us much stability amidst the flow of transition. It describes a scrupulous, charismatic ambassador; a philanthropic, humanitarian, understanding nobleman. Richard Branson, anyone?

So, what is inevitable?
The 3 of Pentacles.

This card signifies a new project and the help of a businessperson. Fitting since we discussed the idea of an Evolver Exchange network, a platform for exchange of goods across the network. This might be inevitable. As much as we like to fight the merging of spirit and matter in this way be being resistant to business models, we may need to accept that it's fundamental to our survival and abundance. In the deck we used, the card also signifies that there is much building and hard work to be done to build this scaffolding.

Love This!

I often use the Tarot myself for guidance regarding Evolver -- and it continues to be astoundingly on point.

I think this reading says it all. And beautifully captures the outcome of a truly remarkable weekend.

yup!

Agreed! It was so good having the opportunity to get to know some of the warriors / kings behind the scenes of this movement like yourself, Ken. It's good to know we're all coming from the same heart space.

I am that scrupulous charasmatic ambassador

and the project is web 3.0, any takers?

well, heres the layout:

we build an integrated web programme

thats the thing

is that our main obstacle as evolvers is understanding and relating to each other. I have tried to make that obvious through my efforts but none, as should be expected, got the message the way it is, thus the need for evolution. All I can say now is that we wont break the sound barrier traveling at this speed. if any of us wants to change we must first learn to use our voice. Give me the chance to do so and I will ensure that it works. all I need is a computer programmer and some plants.

getting off-line

Last weekend, someone quoted that "one of the main messages the internet is giving us is to get off of it." I feel that it's really necessary to get beyond the internet and build the world we want to see off-line. I see technology as training wheels for consciousness, but we've got to make that jump and use the technology as a means to coordinate our efforts.

This is great

We are certainly magicians, but also, how do we get our ideas into action, put it all together and create some huge trance-formative ripples through the field?

I'm thinking about an immersive, high tech, neoshamanic group ritual that blasts people into higher states and spurs personal growth.

Random Event Generators, biofeedback, EEG headsets, sound floors... a modern magicians tool chest!

I hope to do some serious thinking on ways to lead groups into higher coherence and experiences of the sacred.

It's great to be part of this place!

fantastic! thank you for

fantastic! thank you for sharing.

while i am not familiar with the particular deck you're using, it seems that that king of cups also speaks to a meditative, steadfast quality of "going in to battle" or facing our cause with a sense of perseverance that is backed up by emotional/intuitive knowledge and faith. what a beautiful symbol to work with moving forward!

king of cups

nice! thanks for the extra insight, amanda.

Super nice fantastico!

Spot on, yay! Keep spiraling into it! How do we make some f'n money to make this shit transmute to real? Clever safe houses for our tails on the run? Nope. Deployment in situ, like the Amish, (keeping capital out of bankers hands for long-long time by sharing labor?!) We need shelter, fire, water, and food, in that order. And that's about all we need to truly transmute that shit. I'm so excited about this new paradigm that I can hardly sit still here anymore. Matter IS the dreamer! JMT, why don't you message me? Question answered. You did today. Thanks!
