Daniel Pinchbeck: On the brink of Quetzalcoatl

Daniel Pinchbeck and I have a close friendship that goes all the way back to grade school. It's been quite the experience going along on the ride Daniel's been on all these years, especially his recent, powerful engagement with the question of where our world is heading, and his crucial transmisson of the powerful healing light of the world's shamanic traditions.

Our long time level of comfort with each other lead an interesting quality to a series of interviews of Daniel, filmed in the spring of 2006, a few months prior to the publication of his book 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl. These clips are an intimate portrait of Daniel at a time when he was unsure of how the volatile contents of the book would be received.

I will be screening excepts from the interviews exclusively at the EVOLVER SPORE ASHEVILLE event Wednesday, June 17th at The FBI in Marshall, NC. I have also posted an excerpt from the footage, which was ment to be an edited promo for the early, Pre Reality Sandwich version of EVOLVER.

This years later, I've returned to the footage, and feel it captures Daniel at a fasinating moment in his personal evolution.
