Free Will and Destiny

One of the longest debated puzzles of life has always been that of destiny and free will; is our future predefined, or can we effect its outcome. Through a paradigm of only cause and effect, these are the two logical possibilities. One could argue that the universe’s initial conditions define everything about how the system will function at every step and every interaction, or that a God is controlling each action so it is destiny. One could also say that human consciousness has the ability to guide, shape, and define it’s own course through it’s choices in life. These both address part of the picture, but fail to reconcile with each other. As viewed through a paradigm of 3D time and a multiverse, one can unify these perspectives. Quantum physics has shown that the act of observation can collapse a probability waveform into a particle through the influence of consciousness. This demonstrates a fundamental notion that consciousness, existence and reality itself are interconnected and in fact, inseparable. Consciousness can effect reality and is responsible for the manifestation of every observed moment from a field of potentiality. Time in three dimension allows for all possible outcomes to exist on some timeline. A unique perspective, in a particular timeline, experiences the laws of cause and effect, essentially moving through predefined states within that timeline. Through the act of paradigm shift it is possible to change the perception of the events, but not the events themselves; this is movement in the second dimension of time. Similarly, through the directing of ones consciousness, it is possible to reach out into the probability field of the multiverse and condense those possibilities from potentialities to realities to be observed. All of the possibilities have been created in the planes of the second and third dimensions of time, and are in this way predestined. In this sense, one uses free will to navigate through a sea of destiny.

In respect to my notion of “God”, I believe that life is God’s ability to observe and experience the infinite potential to BE that God represents. In this way, God is all knowing, because it is that potential for existence itself, God is everywhere, because it is the reality which comes forth from the potential, and likewise has complete power to effect that reality which God has become. Life is the system becoming self-aware. The reason humans feel the influence of “free will” is the awareness that on the most fundamental level, we effect and create our experience of reality. As the level of self-awareness increases, the separations and distinctions disappear between the self and the divine. In this way all action is divine in origin, all experiences will be experienced in the course of the universe which is all “now” since time is simultaneous. The action of having a perspective, allows for the observation and experience of a single, unique, potential reality. Putting that perspective into a coordinate in time and space condenses the reality from probability. Time in essence, functions to provide a way for God, or the ultimate perspective to experience every possibility in every possible space while observing through a perspective which is limited to a single point in the time-space continuum. The notion of life as the experiential part of God illustrates that on some level, all experience is shared among all life. This is reflected in concepts such as genetic memory, the noosphere (collective consciousness), and even phenomenon like quantum entanglement.

As we become more aware of our nature, our ability to effect our reality will increase as a result. This means we will each have a higher personal responsibility to use that power through the application of our higher level of awareness. It also means that we have a greater personal responsibility to step up and take responsibility for manifesting our own course through life and accepting the consequences of the lessons we learn along the way. This is the challenge of life.

What would you do if you were God?
