What Is The Human Race And What Are We Racing For?

Is it a competition or a contest between two or more people seeking to do or reach the same thing, something first? Is it a member of the group that comprises modern humans and their ancestors? Is it to move somewhere with great speed or haste, or make somebody or something move in this way? Is it one of the groups into which the world's population can be divided on the basis of physical characteristics such as skin or hair color? Is it a genetically distinct population within a species that may also be geographically isolated? (Encarta Dictionary, 2009) And the answer is, yes to all of the above and so much more.
Human Beings are members of the species to which men and women belong called the Human Race. So then what is the Human Race in competition for? What are we racing toward? What is the goal to be achieved? These are all questions that everyone will have a different opinion for, but I would like to share one of my own. Since the beginning of the creation or evolution of what are called Humans, there has been a race to become. Become what you might ask? To become more, to know more, to do more, and to be all that they can be is the goal of humanity. Humans have a built in desire, a longing to know who and what they are, where they came from and even more so why they are here and where are they going. As humans gain answers and incites to these questions, they share them with others and before long a group of people who believe those answers are correct is formed. At the same time other groups are formed that have different answers and beliefs about those questions. Sects are formed and as different sects that think and believe similarly join together, soon we have the creation of religions.
As religions gained notoriety and eventually power, they have the effect of making humans lazy, the religions do the thinking for them and tell them what to think, how to act, what is right and what is wrong. Organized religion has been the downfall of mankind, because they strip power away from the individual and virtually enslave them or indoctrinate them into their way of thinking. Throughout the history of the Human Race there have been very few wars that have not been originated from religion. From the Holy wars of the Bible and the Koran to the Witch wars in Salem, people have been persecuted, tortured and murdered in the name of one religion or another.
I dare say that God, Goddess, Universe, Creator of All That Is, or however you address your higher power, is “NOT” to blame for these conflicts. Freedom of choice is a Divine right and is given to every Human Being no matter what their Race, color, sex, age and even religion. Religion will give you freedom of choice as long as your choices match up to their beliefs. If not, lookout because soon there will be “hell” to pay. Fear has always been used as a motivating factor of religion in order to keep their followers in line with their accepted doctrine. In the words of Bob Dylan The Times They Are A-Changing, yes they are and it is about time.
What an exciting time we live in, whatever you think and believe about 2012, there is no doubt that some kind of change is building and is about to take place, and guess what. We get to choose who and what we are. We have the choice of a lifetime to make, and it’s a decision that does not involve any religion or sect or anyone else. Each and every one of us gets to look inside of ourselves and decide if we want to wake up and evolve into someone who is consciously aware of who we are, and what we are, or we can choose to stay asleep. We get to choose to wake up and see that we are all in this together, that we are all one. We get to choose to look beyond the differences that keep us apart as individuals, groups, and countries. We get to choose to open up our hearts to Divinity, and to feel the flow of Love, Joy, Peace and Abundance. We get to choose to allow the Universal Energies that are flowing to us in this day and age, right now, to change us into someone who is Consciously Aware of Who and what we are, and what we can become. We also have the right to choose to stay asleep and let others choose for us what we will become, this is not recommended, but it is your right to choose. The Race we are in is all about Oneness, about connecting to the Divine within each other, to experience that next level of evolution that we Humans are capable of.
My choice is to allow the Divine Being that I am, to become all that I can be within this physical body. My choice is to raise my Conscious Awareness of the Presence of the Divine that resides within me and that I am. I choose to experience Oneness with All That Is. How is this Oneness Achieved? It is not achieved, it is already here. Oneness is a now moment, it is not in the past, it is not in the future, it is now. We are all connected to each other and the choice is to become attuned or accustomed to the Oneness that we already are, now. We have to reject the duality and prejudices that have kept us from Being or experiencing our true nature, which is Oneness! Whether we like it or not, realize it or not, the truth is we are all one already. We only need to become Aware of this fact and own it.
Take some time now and shut out all of the distractions of the world and focus your attention on your heart, your inner being, the observer within. Open your heart and call upon your Source, give permission for the Divine Energy to flow into you and be silent, listen to your Higher Self gently guide you, and begin to feel the Presence of the Divine flow of Energy throughout your entire being. Bask for as long as you can in this energy and feel the Love that flows from the Universe to you. Feel the freedom and the Love that begins to flow from your heart outward. Let the energy of your emotions flow from you as you start to sense that you are now at one with All That Is. Sense the Presence of the Divine all around you and take this Presence with you wherever you go. That Presence is always there and is always available, we just need to get out of the way and Focus our Attention in our Heart. If any part of your body has an ailment then focus this Energy flow there and allow it to begin a healing process. This is the stuff that dreams are made of, literally, this is the stuff. This Universal Energy is what binds us together as one; it flows through everything and is everywhere, all the time. Let’s all begin to focus our attention where it needs to be, put aside our differences and begin to experience the Oneness that we are.
I am becoming that which I decide to Become. I decide to Become One! I Am Now One, I have always been one! We are all One, and we have always been one! We just have never experienced Oneness with each other. Yet!
The Choice to experience Oneness is now yours alone to make!
