I've seen ‘The Spirit Molecule’ three times now. Beautiful in just the art and imagery that is interposed with the concepts and conversations portrayed, the film carries a density of information, thoughts, sound and visual components packed into just over an hour of time. Those interviewed in the film discuss DMT as a substance that affects perceptions of consciousness, time, space and physical reality.

Here are some thoughts I keyed into as explored in ‘The Spirit Molecule’ by interviewees who have taken DMT either in sanctioned testing or as part of a Sacred Ceremony: Consciousness is free of form, existent independent of matter. Consciousness follows attention. Thought is a type of energy which inspires and feeds the formation of our known world. All of creation is vibration.

Some found a new immediacy in experience. They traveled beyond their furtherest reaches and found in themselves, an even more infinite possibility – other worlds – other forms. These individuals returned to shout "The human experience can be fully had!" - there is life beyond our experience.

Watching the film with a friend, we found ourselves in touch with the soundtrack, which attentively adds to the conversation and scene. Every piece of the film is arranged with depth: structurally-interposed infinitely-complete, constructs in thought, geometric and organic forms. While not all agree on the use or outcome, you'll find there are many voices in ‘The Spirit Molecule,’ speaking to the experience of DMT as a path; along which are deep experiences of what it is to live and be human.
