Just because your naked doesn't mean you're sexy...

And just because you're cynical doesn't mean you're cool.

I have perceived a trend of many evolvers being somewhat elitist in regards to their chosen artform or form of intellectual expertise. I was in the poetry forum earlier today and someone had commented on a piece of poetry, remarking first on the nature of the poem and then the nature of the forum itself, setting his/herself apart from most of the posters, by questioning their status as REAL POETS. Their poetry is just as REAL as everyone elses, poetry is poetry, only through conditioning can one be led to believe in the prose system created through past centuries of scholarly debate. This is not an attack against the poster, I merely want to point out that we were all little babies once, empty canvases to be filled with the beautiful painting that is existence. We have all become conditioned in one way or another, and we are all on the path to awakening, to break from our conditioning, and I just hope that we can remember that, and be more aware of our hidden prejudices.

Poetry is Poetry -- regardless of prose, rhyme scheme, or medium
A woman's body is poetic -- the way its shapes and curves inspire sounds and colors deep in my mind
Paintings are poetry -- One need only look at Rene Magritte's TREACHERY, ceci n'est pas une pipe, TRULY
Life is poetry -- just as traditional poetry reflects one's perspective on life

Even the photo above, of a dirty Tijuana aquaduct, has a sad poetic sensibility, because unfortunately, pollution is also a part of our current global reality.
