The first few minutes of HOME give a great perspective on Earth and it's water in various forms, usable and not.

haven't seen the above one.

...and what about Dr. Emoto. Is this stuff real?

I flipped through his book but didn't see any discussion of his scientific method (may have missed it).
Did he just photograph 1000 love crystals and then only show us the pretty ones... and then 1000 fear crystals and only show us the ugly ones?

Please share your links for any good films about the spirit of water, and any sub topics for discussion.

...also, is there a single place where suggestions for each months spore is posted? I can't find one. I'm hoping to host one in Victoria, BC

update from Jonathan

Hi everyone,

Here's some organizations I've reached out to to see if they'd like to partner on our Water Spore (thanks to Remi for researching these). If anyone has other suggestions for partnerships on Water in July, or for our Day of Action Spore in August, please send them my way.

Best,
Jonathan

I sense some synchronicity going on this evening...

I recommend "Water, The Great Mystery" very highly. It's more spiritual in nature than scientific, perhaps, but it includes a segment on Dr. Emoto's work, as well as some mind-blowing anecdotes. I like it because it resonates truthfully with me, not because I think it's scientifically true (if that makes sense?). The synchronicity comes in by way of JMT's current blog on the "PsycheCymatitron." I was responding to it just now and remembered your question here.

There is a water/cymatics connection in a blog i wrote last year. The links (some of which need to be traced back a level) include a TED talk by Evan Grant (a cymatics artist/expert), a great video on Victor Schauberger (an Austrian forester/ water technologist), and my first introduction by an evolver friend to the work of Raymon Grace (a famous dowser and water expert). As chance would have it, I am presently taking steps to contact Raymon Grace as he's giving a class in the northern part of our state in a week and a half. And as a long shot yet, we're hoping he'll be available and willing to lead a workshop on dowsing at our upcoming water spore.

Guess what? ;)

Was going to recommend Raymon's DVD here, too; happy to see you already brought him to Victoria BC Connector's (& others'} attention. :D
And, if life permits, plz report here about your water spore(s)?

BTWow,
so many great recommendations in this thread; can't wait to explore!

Ja duh!

It was you who turned me on to Raymon's work in the first place. Here's hoping we catch him for an hour or two!

Waterlife A Film by Kevin

Waterlife
A Film by Kevin McMahon

WATERLIFE follows the epic cascade of the Great Lakes to the Atlantic Ocean. From the icy cliffs of Lake Superior to the ornate fountains of Chicago to the sewers of Windsor, this feature-length documentary tells the story of the last huge supply (20 per cent) of fresh water on Earth.

The source of drinking water, fish and emotional sustenance for 35 million people, the Great Lakes are under assault by toxins, sewage, invasive species, dropping water levels and profound apathy. Some scientists believe the lakes are on the verge of ecological collapse.

Filled with fascinating characters and stunning imagery, WATERLIFE is an epic cinematic poem about the beauty of water and the dangers of taking it for granted.

thanks! please keep 'em coming!

this list will be valuable for all the regional groups, and everyone else participating in the spore.

I've started watching the Dr. Leonard Horowitz videos that Absalom suggested. Thanks

and thanks to River and Rivers!

(As a foot note)

Horowitz turns up in a few places. One most notably as of late is 'Visions of Paradise' of which our own Daniel Pinchbeck also appears.

Anupam Mishra: The ancient ingenuity of water harvesting
http://www.ted.com/talks/anupam_mishra_the_ancient_ingenuity_of_water_ha...
With wisdom and wit, Anupam Mishra talks about the amazing feats of engineering built centuries ago by the people of India's Golden Desert to harvest water. These structures are still used today -- and are often superior to modern water megaprojects.

Planet Water: Complexity and Organization in Earth Systems
http://mitworld.mit.edu/video/658
Rafael Bras, a professor of civil and environmental engineering who pioneered the field of hydrologic science, is MIT's James R. Killian Jr. Faculty Achievement Award winner for 2008-2009. If he doesn’t have the whole world in his hands, Rafael Bras certainly grasps more pieces of the gigantic puzzle than most of us. Often credited with launching the science of hydrology -- the study of water’s crucial role in Earth systems...

The Invisible Forest: Microbes in the Sea

After listening to Penny Chisholm, you’ll view pond scum or aquarium slime in a different light. In fact, Chisholm aims to instill a sense of reverence and concern for the organisms behind this phenomenon, which turn out to be blue-green algae. They’re part of a family of microbes called phytoplanktons that are essential to the earth’s health.

The Extraordinary Nature of Water - Based on the theories of Viktor Schauberger:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8915966819502040048#
You will be guided through forests, rivers, and the global water cycle, revealing insights into water's nature and how it needs to be handled for us to stay healthy. See the effects of nature's amazing vortex motion in water, how to harness clean abundant energy, and how to generate lightning from a fine water jet. Based on Viktor Schauberger's brilliant work with natural energy and water, translated and written by Callum Coats in the books "Nature as Teacher", "Living Energies" and "The Water Wizard". Viktor (1885 to 1958) made a lifelong study of water, from mountain springs to river flows and highly evolved hydraulics. He earned the name "Water Wizard" by developing a deep understanding of water... the most important life-giving and energy empowered substance on the planet.

A World Without Water
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3930199780455728313#
The world is running out of its most precious resource. True Vision's timely film tells of the personal tragedies behind the mounting privatization of water supplies. More than a billion people across the globe don’t have access to safe water. Every day 3900 children die as a result of insufficient or unclean water supplies. The situation can only get worse as water gets evermore scarce.
