In Tehrir Square (a.k.a. Liberation Square) and elsewhere in Egypt, men and women stood together for freedom, for the end of an oppressive and brutal regime – a regime which was supported by the United States government. We the people, however, can feel in our bones the protest movement’s intrinsic truth and we want to stand with the Egyptians to support humanity’s attainment of true freedom.

My friend opalescent and I created an event page on fb calling out for global participation in creating healing for the situation in Egypt. Here is the link in case you want to RSVP and get occasional reminders:

Here is the text of our call to healing:

Every day we will issue a call to join, in whatever way you can, in sending healing, supporting energies to the people of Egypt, and grounding these energies in actions small and large in our everyday lives, right here at home. Holographically changing the matrix. Really, to make a difference.

How?

Imagine a part of your life experience that in some way is resonant with the experience of the Egyptian people.

They have lived within limitation, told how to be, threatened with fear tactics, living under the stress of enforced poverty in a police state. They are throwing off the bondage of forced enslavement to a system that has grown heavy upon their society and touched every life in some way.

To what are you enslaved? Do you feel the hand of oppression from a habit, from a self-limiting belief, from a relationship, from necessity, from the form of social engineering you find yourself in, from the governing system of this land? For this exercise, imagine what you could do to heal this oppression you are feeling... what actions you can take, large or small, in your life, that could shift this energy for you. Just that… own just that. Infuse that shift in your life and allow the thought that, as energy entrains to a similar frequency of energy, your act of personal liberation entrains to support and magnify the efforts of those gathered to shift a stagnant machine of government toward a culture of humanity vibrant, free, and equal.

The effect is holographic, and fractal in nature: a subtle shift in one small thing is reflected in a fundamental shift in greater things. In focusing your intention of liberation and empowerment in some concrete way in your life, in dedicating that movement toward balance and wholeness to the gathering of people in Egypt, you will help tip the scales toward freedom for all.

Examples of ways this healing work might look for you:

-- Turn awareness into action. Meditate on the way injustice or limitation that you experience is of similar energetic nature as the oppression the Egyptians have lived under. Let awareness arise of how you can shift your experience, even to the extent of speaking your truth without fear, or taking to the streets, while holding Egyptians in your heart. Taking physical action has a potent energy of its own, and can shift not only your immediate energy, but the energy of those around you and, in this holographic matrix we inhabit, the energy of those in similar situations elsewhere.

-- Create a ripple effect with your breath. Inhale your pain. With it, inhale all of the pain that is similar to your pain, relating yourself to any who have suffered in a similar way, and feel it unify in your breath and body. In the moment between inhale and exhale, feel the energetic solution to the pain. Exhale the solution, knowing that the energy you drive in the release of breath releases the energy for you and those people who have touched a similar depth of pain. This way, in breathing healing into yourself, releasing patterns of suffering, you heal the world.

-- Change your world, change the whole world. Dedicate changing some part of your reality, your life, your relationship, whatever is going on with you now, to connect with the energy of change and in this way contribute directly. So, if you are concerned about the potential hunger of the Egyptian people, eat healthy food, mindfully, and imagine the Egyptian people receiving the strength and nourishment from your self-care.

There's a story about monks who were meditating in austerity on a mountain in the cold, not eating or drinking anything for an extended period of time. People were meditating in the temple to support them. One person had enjoyed a strawberry, and this thought entered his meditation, and he savored it. When the monks came down from the mountain, one asked with a smile, who thought about the strawberry? Thank you for sharing it!

-- Be a lightning rod. Get a globe, or a map of the world. Put your hands on Egypt on the map and attune to healing energies. Feel yourself as a conduit of universal peace flowing to that area. If you are a Reiki practitioner or work with energy healing, do what you do best, and bring it to the planet in this way.

What’s going on now is all about bringing energy and thought into action, even if it’s a tiny shift in your perspective that you can apply to your life. When you act, you ground energy. By committing it to a greater cause, you ground it deeper, more broadly, and you make a difference. Your simple act of self-care, nourishment, reconciliation, healing, coming to wholeness and personal power with small things and large situations in your own life raises the power of like energy all over the world. This is the nature of energy freely expressed, and it is within each of us to access this, to amplify and direct it toward the integration of peaceful coexistence. Similarly, sometimes there comes a time when the energy work done internally needs to enter the world in a grounded way. Sometimes the healing work we have done within needs to be brought without, into real and grounded action in the world. Sometimes literally taking to the streets is the solution, grounding the energy of transformation.

Spiritual awakening leads to the awareness of "we're all connected". It doesn't take a lot of reasoning or a practiced spirituality to see that we are interconnected; ecology shows it eloquently enough. What happens to one happens to the collective. We are one humanity, and where any are not free, none are truly free.

Take a look around. Now is the time to put our knowing into action. What can you do, today, and tomorrow, and the next day? What insights and techniques for empowerment can you share here with this community? *Also, please spread the word!*

Thank you !

It does seem that the last and most dangerous thing to escape from Pandora's box has indeed surfaced
That would be "hope".

Update

(Just now added to post):

*Victory Today! Mubarak stepped down! HOWEVER there is still much work to be done, and the Egyptian people will need to stay vigilant in making sure that they get the real democracy they want. Let's continue to stand with them and send healing as described below!*

Pandora's Box

Well , let us all visualize (since we are all such superb "eye - people" now) that the triumph of that most dangerous of human aspirations - "hope" in Egypt remains viable . Yes , Hosni Mubarak and his regime have apparently "stepped down" and turned control of the company , er ... country over to the military. Perhaps this will somehow lead to greater liberty and maybe even a more equitable and general prosperity for all the residents of that nation . I'm using time to picture just that , a peaceful and non - violent blossoming of liberty
and tolerance of each other in a country that has rarely ever known either in all of it's history . I can only wish that they will know what to do with it , if they hold onto their chances to exceed the limits imposed by the past.
I do know that the last time Pandora's last escapee was flagged upon these shores (north america), millions flocked to her banner and supported such a defiant "change" - that for awhile it seemed all hopes were possible . It seemed that all the protections of our " Bill of Rights" would be newly Enshrined and all the laws , acts and orders that trespass upon our liberties would all be struck down as if by lightning . Hope had become rampant ! That our rights to freedom from the imposition or establishment of religion be enforced. That freedom of speech be returned to the people from the legalized fictions known as "corporations" who have infringed upon and stolen these rights for themselves . That we would once again be free to assemble in any place , at any time , in any number , for any purpose of our choosing without permits or restrictions , surveillance or interference . That our right to arm bears to chase hunters be restored ( or was it the right to short sleeved suits , so we could bare our arms ? No it was our right to own a flintlock , musket , powder horn and shot as well as long and short swords ! ). That our right to live without Military or Paramilitary forces being quartered upon the populace be restored . That our rights to be secure from search or seizure of our persons , our dwellings , our places of work , worship and play as well as our means of conveyance be held inviolate . That all our rights to life , liberty be protected by due process . That we will no longer be forced and compelled to be witness against ourselves . That all lawyers , for as long as we shall deem it wise to encumber ourselves with such an infestation , shall be required to offer pro bono counsel to all accused of crimes . That all other rights not enumerated be also restored to the people. That the Thirteenth amendment be enforced in full , no slavery of any type including economic slavery . That all laws violating the Fourteenth amendment be struck down . That the Fifteenth amendment be expanded to include "creed or lack thereof , sex or orientation." That the Sixteenth amendment be revealed to have never been ratified by the states hence invalid and have the IRS abolished , leaving the government with only the ability to tax the income and profits of companies and corporations . That our rights to distillation be restored ( prohibition was Not repealed , they just changed "legally" who could distill , ferment or brew). That our rights to privacy be fully restored without exception of lack of expectation . That the freedom of citizens to grow , cultivate , harvest , process , possess , consume or trade all known or unknown plants that grow anywhere on the world , as they see fit , shall not be infringed upon in any manner . That our once fair and noble nation will cease being the world's largest exporter of weapons , will cease being the world's largest exporter of conflict . That we will resolve to tear down the secretive military industrial complex that has poisoned our country since the mid 1940's as well as the criminal/corporate intelligence alliance that has robbed so many of us of our lives , our land and our freedoms and any hope of liberty itself in the name of a false "security".
So as you can see from the above , "Hope" is indeed a Dangerous aspiration , it is not easily contained , it is very contagious . Let us all " hope" that the people of Egypt get "change" they can live with . Simply changing the sock puppets at the head of state is not enough , yet pure quill participatory democracy ( which no one in the world currently has , tho' Vermont and some small island states come close ) is also quite dangerous , especially to those with no experience of such a system . The price of freedom is responsibility to your fellow humans , if one of us is enslaved or imprisoned , then none of us are truly free . If any of us need , then we all suffer from that need , we can and do distract ourselves from these simple truths all the time . Yet this distraction and self absorption does not alter these simple truths . When the people of Tunisia saw and heard that one of their own , a poor man , had his only means of making a living taken from him by a corrupt police force serving a corrupt government , and in desperation , unable to feed himself or his family , had set himself on fire in the public square and burned himself to death , they rose up and created the "Jasmine Revolution". This inspirational "hope" of people to change their circumstances by toppling their government thru non - violent protest has now spread to many other countries around the middle east . Countless despots , princes , dictators , ministers , kings and generals have begun to worry and react . As for those still in the U.S. hope dwindles even as their president publicly encourages change and democracy elsewhere . If President Obama ever had any aspirations other than simply being the first person of color to hold the office , he may be hoping the mass media machine can distract his fellow citizens from becoming aware or hopeful . He may indeed "hope" no one notices that the only "change" they have is the few worthless Federal Reserve pennies left in their pockets .
We have alot of visualizing whirld peas to do !
Let's get to it !

did he?

Did he really promise all those things? Thing is, we lead ourselves to believe that he promised us so much more than he did. But yeah, he let us down, and it may not so a reflection on him as it is a reflection on how our system IS owned by the corporations, for sure!

So many in America are discouraged and/or angry. So many, however, buy the belief that we are powerless. That's because people gave their hope away to a person outside of themselves. Instead what we need to do is reclaim our power ourselves! Then, that powerful hope that we felt so strongly, will have some ground to plant in!
