This is my first entry, and I have the pleasure of writing about the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors (CoSM). I had wanted to visit since learning of the Chapel and Alex/Allyson Grey at the Spring 2010 MAPS conference in San Francisco.

When I saw the info about CoSM's Deities and Demons party, my boyfriend and I decided to go. We made the journey from Myrtle Beach, SC to Wappinger Falls, NY this past weekend. As we pulled up, the historic home looked magnificent and the grounds too- need to see during the day. It was instant gratifciation of the senses as we entered the house- wild costumes, live music from all directions, Halloween decorations from floor to ceiling, and psychedelic art work everywhere. This was my idea of a party. There was a room for every mood- dancing, meditating, outside a bonfire and poi dancers. I played a crystal bowl and chanted with others. It was a group experience like I had never had, and one more usually found at a yoga center or spiritual retreat. We were there until the end, and even then, I wasn't ready, but a friend of ours drove and she was ready.

To me, the Grey's manifested the true spirit of Halloween, and gave us revelers a profound experience way beyond the normal Saturday night out or party. I'll be going back.
