We live in interesting times. A lot of people are talking about 2012, change, revolution, doomsday. Most people fall into one of two groups: those expressing hope for the situation and those expressing fear.

Interestingly, if we really look into hope and fear we see that they are quite similar. They are both forms of self deception. Fear is the feeling of being averse to a future event/outcome, not wanting it to happen, or wanting to avoid it. Hope is the the feeling of wanting a certain event, being attracted to it, etc.

Truth is, though, that we don't know what will happen. Ever. Both hope and fear keep our minds and our attention at some future point that doesn't exist. What we fear/hope for may or may not come to fruition, with or without all of your efforts. So why waste energy on these projections into the future? Why not let yourself fall completely into the beautiful uncertainty before you?

Be hopeless, and be fearless, especially in uncertain times.

Much Love.
