Secrets and Honesty

Some things are best left unexpressed. There is power in keeping some things secret, in letting some things wait, in reserve. By keeping some things hidden, we let them grow, we keep them intact, we preserve their sacredness. Some things are so beautiful, delicate and fragile that expression weakens them, and turns them into something lesser then the truth. However, there comes a time for release, when the secret has gained its power, when it has become ready.
Other things are best expressed openly without judgment or reserve, to be freely flowing like a river. This is honesty.
Honesty is acknowledging the truth. It begins by acknowledging the truths inside you, without judgment. It is what it is. Once you can do this you can speak the truth, honestly.
You are the gate. I am the gate. Pay attention to the subtleties of heart and mind, and be aware what is happening inside and outside. Let out what must be let out, and let things grow that are not yet ripe.

secrets
There are no secrets. Most do not want to know. Knowledge is available and the masses refuse it, settling for the mundane. In a conversation with an acquaintance speaking of esoteric ideas he asked, "What if one doesn't want to know?. I'm quite happy with who I am." (To that statement Gurdjieff would have answered, 'Sleep well'.) For those of us who have to know, who have to believe, contentment is not an option. Secrets are our mystery.
so resonating with this...
Such wise words so beautifully written - thank you for the insight Wind Rider
Shhhhh
In many mystical paths of learning there are natural progressions of more and more "confidential" revelations that are "reserved" for those whose capacity has also reached levels of maturity.
Confidentiality protects the intimacy of the revelation itself.
When getting married ... going on the honeymoon ... it is certainly not a true secret, as to what is likely to occur, but the details are kept confidential so as to lend value to the intimacy.
For every secret keeper there is likely a nosey busybody ... self-perpetuating polarity for those who just cannot leave well enough alone.
cheerful
everyone seems so cheerful about lying to each other. lying to another is only lying to yourself- there is nothing more beautiful than the truth-
when you lie, you are creating a cycle of lies- lies can sometimes create pain
if you tell the truth- you are creating a cycle of truths- truth can sometimes create pain
it is one thing to acknowledge spoken word, but it is always true that the lips can deceive while the eyes or body language speaks the truth.
open your perception, you are only deceived because you allow yourself to be treated this way- look outside yourself, if only a glimpse; respect others, as yourself- as we are one
what is the difference between one of these "false lies" and a truth- not much in the right moment or circumstances- on the present may reveal the truth- scholars profess of the time past- spiritualists make prophecy for the future- only the present moment reveal the truth.
may love be present with you in each moment, revealing the truth of how we should not be deceiving, but the world must hear your cry before all peoples may live by the ideals of truth and not "false lies"
