Take care of this space

I own my body, my mind, my being about as much as I own anything else.

Everything I am flows from outside of me. In the same way that I should respect and care for the air that I breathe, the land that feeds me, and the water I drink, I should care for my body, my mind and my heart.

Consciousness doesn't belong to me, it flows through me. I need to care for my thoughts and emotions, as these flow out into the rest of the world. This thing I call "me" is a space that I am responsible for. I am responsible for nourishing and cultivating this space, so that it may grow, and so that growth may occur around it.

My body is a thing of nature, and will go back to the earth; so I should care for it.

All that I am flows from outside, and flows outwards again. The world receives that which flows through me.

For this wisdom, I thank a mushroom teacher who's true name has been forgotten.
