IcerocketHey Folks, I am new to evolver, althoughI I've been reading blogs for some time now. For my first post, I would I'd like to ask a question about what I would call "undercurrents" and maybe get some dialogue going.
Sometimes I get a "sense" of the world, and the emotions/ideas/attitudes/meanings associated with all that is happening. I feel as though there are "undercurrents," or maybe a "collective unconsious" if you would call it that. It seems that aside from that which is overt and obvious, that there is a sense of the world as it is, as if they were moving right underneath you, or as if there is a lifepulse behind phenomena, trends in society, etc. Like there is "something in the air" so to speak.
The question I would like to ask is: does anybody know what I mean? If so, what is your sense of things as they are in the world right now? What is happening? Where are we going?

Thats why we are here - well why I am here anyway. Synchronicity is the natural flow and we all just tend to fight it. Step into the flow, notice what you notice and that something in the air will just become the norm!

Yes, I have a sense of undercurrents, of a zeitgeist pulling us along just out of the reach of our conscious minds. I have been amazed to see and hear others at Evolver and elsewhere relate dreams and visions that are very similar to mine.
I see a big transition coming to the world, especially the United States. Our culture has come to see a life of privilege, unsustainable consumption and environmental exploitation as normal. That is about to change. Grandmother Earth is asserting herself and has already set in motion processes of unimaginable power to restore the balance of nature.
Artists and other cultural creatives are the antennas of society. We are picking up the signals of the change that is bearing down upon us. We are beginning to understand the wisdom of cooperating with Mother Earth rather than fighting her. We are re-learning the skills that kept our ancestors alive and in balance such as shamanism and sustainable small-scale agriculture.
I see our people seeing the world from a new perspective, which is really an old perspective. In a letter attributed to Chief Seattle, it is written, "This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself."
