Around 7 minutes and 38 seconds in he says we have to Wake Up and Cause Change so that history doesn't continue to repeat itself.
It would be nice to see some comments here about this!

This is the way I see it. That graph says something to anyone who reads it. Whatever the I-Ching is explaining is, in a sense, set. I do not want to turn this into a free will discussion, but things that are going to happen, will happen. We can leave our egos behind or take them with us in the journey to save ourselves and this planet, but really (from an alternative perspective) we set up this entire universe and everything that would occur in it before we actually came into it. Well, this is a tricky area, but to make it a little less vague... imagine writing a screenplay. That is set before the movie is filmed, edited and viewed. Sure, changes are made during the filming and edits are made in post-production, but when that movie is on a DVD, there's no changing it. And so we, as beings, are playing out the roles we designed.
We may feel like we're making a difference or not. We may be activists or couch potatoes, but this is what it is. Sure, people are making differences, but we can't see it from the angle of, 'Shit is completely fucked and there has to be a way out, if people would just wake up!' That attiude is fine, but it is limited. The people who are meant to wake up will, and what is meant to happen will.
The future has already happened and us being the characters in the movie have no choice in changing what the directors or 'ourselves on a higher level' chose when they created this movie.
So back to the TimeWave... it is showing what will occur. We can not change those peaks and valleys. They will repeat, quicker and quicker until a singularity is reached and the planet moves to a higher plane of existence. Simple as that.
If that isn't the case then, f***... we will see soon enough!
Waking up

repeating history is the only way it changes. Reality will balance itself, whether people force themselves to awaken their coil or spoil their life focusing on nonsense. Being scared, worried, distraught or anxious about this increasing intensity is counterproductive to the cause of unification. Let not fear be what bounds us to one another, for that binding will break, love and faith will save the earth and its inhabitants, sure it might get "worse" before it gets "better" but that is the most fascinating variable of life, the wave itself. Being at peace with the fact that people who've hated one another for centuries may very well try to deal out liberating death to each other is not something to fear, instead something that motivates one to seek inner strength and centeredness. We will be taken care of the way the universe has intended, to see another war begin only means that it will eventually (maybe sooner rather than later) end and thus bring lasting peace this time.

the computer is the translator, but i understand what you're trying to say. what will be, will be. the i-ching is not a computer model and was probably similar to a type of calendar that we can't quite understand, just like the mayans.

We don't really know whether everything is predetermined or not, but there isn't really any point in talking about that is there?
The only thing that there is any point in talking about anymore is How To Be The Change, How To Wake Up.
And i think, as Wind Roost touched on, We Can Leave Our Egos Behind.
Shunyamurti says that is precisely what must happen. The only way any ego can be of any service at this point is by dropping dead.
Banish the attitude of Struggle, Heal the attitude of fear and panic(As Jester Touched On), and through a combination of yogic meditation and depth psychology, Transcend the Ego.
The problem is that most of us don't meditate and are highly unconscious of the fact that we are wasting time on Self-Serving Egotistical pseudo-intellectualism that has no real intention of enlightening anyone.
