Noam Chomsky calmly states the mess we are in with undemocratic elites controlling our every socio-economic move, from the food we eat to the wars we are encouraged to fight.

We know all this, Chomsky and many others eruditely and scholarly express the facts without recourse to conspiracy theory and ideas about aliens, and yet we still do nothing. How long until we and our democratic representatives revolt against the corporate globalist take-over of our societies and culture.

Chomsky is a gift....He is the grandfather of linguistics, a political activist, and his mind and life's works will be studied and admired forever. Most of us probably don't realize how important he is for navigating the big changes.

Carl Jung is another mind yet to be mainstream. Jung has been dead for a short bit so he is known but his works and the substance behind his intelligence is a little less known. Collective conscious, shadow, synchronicity, anima, animus, anamnesis, symbols, and dreams.

There are tons of minds out there both alive and past that are rising like cream to the top.

You know how Christians are always thinking about Jesus? Well, these heroic geniuses will be all the rage 2000 years from now. Hind sight is 20 / 20 and the future will know exactly who the villains were and the heroes. The future will also know the stories of how humanity saved itself from darkness, the wilderness, the violence, the men. and itself.

And all those old hippies who struggled to warn us, who have long since burned out - we need to raise the recognition that is now due to the counter-culture and its heroes.

From Weiner's cybernetics, Glick's chaos, Jung's collective unconscious 'social mind', Mollison's permaculture, to Rachel Carson's Silent Spring, we need these heroes to be elevated and 'worshipped' as the current political and economic anti-heroes try to usurp the power of their ideas.

This hindsight, as we progress into the Long Emergency, is going to be very interesting as the true heroes emerge.

I've a little beef with Chomsky, personally

Granted my mind is no where near as great as his is, but I was stunned to learn that he thinks we should just let 9/11 go in terms of what in fact happened. I don't think so myself.
