Get some “spring” in your step with Earth Shoes. A brand that likes to think of themselves as
'Good for You. Good for the Planet.'
Beth Jablownski, a company representative, shared that the 'good for you' part comes from their inclined sole. It positions the toes slightly higher than the heels, unlocking a number of whole body benefits and allows you to get the most out of each step. While wearing Earth shoes you will; improve posture, reduce joint stress, and maximize calorie burn, all while strengthening and toning your legs and derriere.
Now what could be wrong with that?
The 'good for the planet' comes from their ongoing commitment to sustainable practices and making the most out of our planets resources. They use water-based adhesives across their entire line and recycled plastic bottles are used in many of their shoe linings.
In 2009, they introduced BIOFoam cushioning, a form-fitting footbed that absorbs shock and is made of 70% recycled materials. Most recently, in honor of the 40th anniversary of Earth Day, Earth Shoes introduced a biodegradable outsole across their entire Spring 2010 line.
This new outsole technology speeds up biodegradability of all their outsoles in landfills post-use 10x faster than an ordinary shoe.
Earth Shoes are shoes with a conscience.
Earth shoes has a wide range of casual, formal and athletic shoes and sandals appropriate for any lifestyle. They are available from multiple retailers online and are carried at some of the newer, bigger Whole Foods Markets.
Vegans fear not. They also have a selection of vegan friendly shoes in their overall line that are well made – durable and cute – that will actually help and not hurt your feet.
Check out this short video clip demonstrating the awesomeness of these shoes.
