Part I

Project Worldbridge

Mission/ Vision:

I will embark on a journey for approximately the next two years. It is one that will lead me across the Americas to gather wisdom from organic farmers, creative & sustainable communities, indigenous peoples and citizens who are in the midst of fashioning the New American dream. Over the course of this time I will document this journey in the form of a consistently updated blog. By utilizing digital tools I will post: my personal experiences, journal/ sketch book entries, video/audio interviews, video tutorials, and photographs. In addition to the blog, I will utilize social networks such as: Evolver.net*, Facebook, IC.org and My Space to promote Project Worldbridge and amass interest in forming an eco-village/ intentional community: the Worldbridge Community and Bio-farm.

Part II

Worldbridge Community and Bio-farm

Mission/Vision:

Culture is a byproduct of creative people relating and interfacing with their world. With this in mind, I plan to spend the next three years founding an intentional community which will utilize farming, art, activism and education to empower individuals and communities. This community will act as a think-tank/ residency program for artists and other creatives (chefs, designers, engineers, farmers, poets, teachers, etc.) to generate work and pursue projects that facilitate sustainable culture. This may come in the form of classes, workshops, mobile teaching tours, collaborations, performances, concerts, digital media, installation, 3-D, and/or 2-D work. The organization will also develop a summer youth program that employs art and plant cultivation as therapeutic practices to facilitate lasting personal transformation.

Cool!

Quite the adventure you've got planned. With more people like you the culture could be completely reformatted in far less time than people generally think.

Good luck with this.

The off-the-grid Grid

What places are you visiting this summer?
I'm Wwoofing at the Abode, The Rochester Folk Art Guild and COSM so far.

My vision is of getting all these ecovillages in communication with eachother via the web and a sustainable bus system taking people with knowledge and needed resources between them. Getting it all connected before the old world topples .
Lets keep in touch!
